For the past three years, the Continental ExtremeContact DWS has been the highest overall rated tire in the Ultra High Performance All-Season category. Its blend of all-season traction and predictable handling has made it a favorite among consumers, who over the years have logged over 40 million miles in our consumer surveys. As good as the tire is, its life span has come to an end and a replacement has been named.
Beginning last week, we began to see the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 trickle into stock and prepare to replace the ExtremeContact DWS. Fans of the original will find comfort in the similar tread pattern of the two tires and a slightly improved treadwear rating. The tire looks to improve upon its dry and wet weather capabilities without sacrificing any of the snow traction that has been Continental's claim to fame.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we will posting a full test report on how the new ExtremeContact DWS performs!
