In the second quarter of 2011, General released a replacement for its extremely popular and well-liked General Grabber UHP. This newer tire, the General G-MAX AS-03, features an aggressive directional tread pattern like its predecessor, but with an increased amount of biting edges for better success in all seasons.
Having tested the tire this past summer, I was very impressed with its responsive turn-in, sturdy-feeling sidewall and great water channeling abilities. Given its affordable price, this is one of my more frequent recommendations to customers looking for performance, value and increased tread life.
The G-MAX AS-03 is currently available in 63 different sizes ranging between 15"-20" with a variety of widths. It's made to fit a large selection of vehicles including those with aggressive staggered set-ups.
