The Pirelli Cinturato is by far the best tire I have installed on my Mazda3. I had Michelin's prior to this purchase and they were good, but the Pirelli rides smoother and grips the road better in my opinion. I'm finding that all the positive reviews for this tire are true. I was a little nervous... never bought a Pirelli before, but so far it has lived up to all the hype given and the nice rebate made this purchase much easier to make. If this tire performs great in the snow like reviews have mentioned, this purchase will be a home run. The Michelin's were slippery on snow from the beginning and a big challenge to keep on the road in these conditions. I'm hoping the Pirelli's can do a better job in the winter. If you go with these tires, I think you will be happy you did.

Initial Review, 35,000 Miles on Tires

I had a set of Michelin LTX A/T2 tires on my truck for 50000 miles before they needed replacement. These Firestone Destination AT's have only 35000 miles on them, and I will be replacing them before the snow flies this year. The Firestone tires were highly rated and were $20/tire cheaper, so I went with a set. They never performed as good as the Michelins. I have had to use 4 wheel drive to climb up a hill on a highway that was covered in about 2" of snow because the truck kept breaking loose. I was even passed by a Kia going up that hill, talk about embarrassing. Now it has started to hydroplane in medium rain storms, even though I have approximately 1/2 of the tread left.
I will be going back to the Michelins later this year.

Initial Review, 7,000 Miles on Tires

This car had OEM Michelin MXVs which let me down during a high performance track day. I went to KDW2s after reading reviews here and found these are a whole new animal. Phenomenal grip for a tire with such good wet traction. I dont even worry about my lead foot wife during rainy runs on high crowned NY highways. The tire is responsive, stable at speed and not especially noisy. But the traction still surprises me wet or dry.
