Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Very happy with this set of tires on my Porsche. Handling and comfort are fantastic. Haven't had them long enough to determine tread wear, but I am expecting improvement over the previous P Zero's. I would highly recommend these tires for any sports car. The only thing I find is these Michelins seem to have more road noise than the P Zeros. Not inexpensive...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Still relatively new but noticeable differences in ride quality and steering responsiveness over the OEM summer tires. I used them for their first track day last week in combined wet/dry conditions and they were exceptional even in the standing water in some corners. I did manage to break them loose around a corner but that was more me than the tires.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Great tire and an improvement over the Pilot Super Sports. Same amazing tread life and dry performance, but improved wet characteristics. Previous tire was the Bridgestone RE-71's so the review reflects the performance delta between the two (probably unfair as the RE-71's last <10k). The PS 4s are the best balance between spirited daily driving, longevity,...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

I have a front wheel drive Volkswagen CC R Line 6 Speed manual that is APR stage 2, so getting power down to the surface has been a struggle in second gear, but not with these tires. A little wheel hop in 1st gear, 2nd gear it hooks. Very smooth and quiet at 80mph. Always have confidence and trust in Michelin tires, and these are living up to their...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Have run these about 1,000-1,500 miles since mounting them about a month ago. Exceptional tires. They replaced the daily a/s tires (Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric) I had on my car's 19-inch Cadiz wheels for the previous 40k miles. I also have a set of Pilot Super Sports for track. Far and away these tires are better so far than both of the others. Versus the...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

So far I'd say an improvement over the PS2 tires. A quieter tire with great grip new that I expect to improve as they break-in.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Coming off a set of half worn Michelin Pilot Super Sports it was immediately apparent they've tuned the comfort level of the new PS4S. Not only does the 4S seem quieter on smooth pavement but also over small impacts and road imperfections. Even larger daily cringe worthy impacts are leaving me happily confused on the other side. My only complaint with the...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

I recently received my Mercedes-AMG C43 order and it arrived with Continental ContiSportContact SSR tires. I'd already purchased Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (non-run-flat) for the car and the dealer generously agreed to buy the Continental tires back from me. However, they couldn't get the car in to switch the tires for a couple of days, so I drove the car...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Tires have been great so far. They are very similar to the Pilot Super Sport; however, they seem quieter on the road. Excellent cornering stability - they really hold the pavement during spirited driving. Gas mileage has seemed better than my old PSS's, definitely better than the Alpin PA4's that were on over the winter.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (W- or Y-Speed Rated)

This is an overall GREAT handling tire even better than my last Michelins I had. After a few days of driving I noticed that the tires were VERY LOUD. That is the only ONE problem, but it is not that big of a deal. I guess that is what must be compromised for great traction, grip, cornering abilities, stopping distance, and great pick up from a dead stop on...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S

Just hit 10K on these tires and they still look, feel, and perform like new. I do have a staggered setup so I can't comment on further wear; I haven't driven the car in snow either so I can't comment on that either. Steering response is fantastic, as is the fuel economy and quietness of ride. These will be replacing the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on my...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (W- or Y-Speed Rated)

To date, I think these Michelins are a very comfortable high-performance tire with excellent wet-weather traction. I I don't have enough miles or weather on them to evaluate longevity or snow performance, but I have driven them in dry and wet highway conditions, and they are very smooth-riding, have great wet and dry traction, and impart confidence in their...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Super Sport

Awesome tires! Best i have ever had and the only time they even think of losing traction is when you drop the clutch in the wet. Great all year round and even work well in the snow even though they are summer tires.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

I drive the car daily and the streets where I drive are not very good. The tires handle the bad pot holes and street conditions very well. The handling qualities of the tire feel really good. They respond very well to steering input in both wet and dry conditions. I was surprised on how comfortable they are, the ride quality is great. Very quiet tires so far...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (W- or Y-Speed Rated)

Compared to the stock Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico tires, the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ in 255/45R20 size are better in every way. Most notably the ride comfort and road noise are excellent. Wet and dry traction are much improved over the Pirelli. There are not very many choices of tires in this size but regardless I am completely satisfied with these...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

I'm a spirited driver and previously came out of the Michelin Pilot Super Sports, which was a fantastic performing tire in itself, but the most noticeable change with the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is an improvement in the ride quality and harshness from the tire when hitting impacts in the road and the dry handling responsiveness and cornering stability....  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

I replaced my Bridgestone S04 tires with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and the 1st thing I noticed was the softer ride quality. The S04 was a good tire and I was happy with the traction but the Michelin is simply a better riding tire. The steering response does not seem quote as responsive as the S04 but the dry traction is incredible for a street tire.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 N-Spec

If you are looking for a performance winter tire. This is it. I've used normal winter tires on a Honda Civic before and i hated the handling and the noise and the grip in the rain and dry wasn't that great. With my performance package Mustang GT, I knew i wanted to maintain the sporty handling that the car had on the factory Pirelli P-Zero Maximum...  Read More

This Volvo S90 shipped with summer Pirelli P Zero tires on 20 wheels, but we needed all season tires and there aren't many choices in this size. We knew the 20 wheels and summer tires would be a problem when we bought the car. We tried to find a 19 option, but that didn't work and instead we arranged for Volvo to install Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3+ tires,...  Read More
