If you were to check out customer survey results for the top two tires in the Max Performance Summer category, you would find that the Michelin Pilot Super Sport is currently ranked number one. I've used a set on my own vehicle and you can learn about my experience by taking a look at "Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires Installed on My Car."
The second highest ranked tire in the category is Michelin's Pilot Sport PS2. Those who are newer to the world of performance tires many not recognize this tire. There's no shame in that considering the Pilot Sport PS2 was designed over ten years ago. The new Pilot Super Sport replaced this older tire and offers more dry and wet traction, faster steering response, longer wear and better fuel efficiency compared to the older Pilot Sport PS2.

Since the Pilot Sport PS2 is an older design, one might ask why is it still listed in our survey results? While it is true that it's a decade old tire design, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires are still sold as direct replacement tires for Original Equipment applications on some of the highest performance street cars on the market today. Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Corvette are just a few that still use the Pilot Sport PS2 as a recommended replacement tire. Despite its age, the Pilot Sport SP2 still compares pretty favorably to newer performance tires.
If you are checking out replacement tires, you may also want to consider a Tire & Wheel Package upgrade as well to improve the look and performance of your vehicle!
