General Grabber HTS Replaced by All-New General Grabber HTS 60

In the post, "Best Tires for a Street Driven SUV", we discussed the outstanding General Grabber HTS and how it's one of the top Highway All-Season tires along with the top-rated Michelin LTS M/S2. The reasons for choosing to mention this tire as a top choice include its great traction in wet and snow, as well as its smooth, quiet ride and reasonable treadwear. General's Grabber HTS has all these attributes while still being priced along the lower end, making them very affordable options for most drivers. General continues this line with their updated version of the tire, now called the Grabber HTS60.

The new General Grabber HTS 60 features a higher UTQG rating and a longer treadwear warranty of 65,000 miles in the S- and T-speed ratings which encompasses most sizes. Even the higher H-speed rated sizes have been bumped up to a 50,000-mile treadwear warranty compared to the 45,000-mile warranty on the previous version of the tire.

Thanks to a more robust cut- and chip-resistant tread compound, the new tire will also wear longer in more rugged conditions such as gravel road driving. While very similar, the tread pattern itself is slightly different with more finely tuned block edges and a slight increase in sipe density, which should translate into improved wet, snow and ice traction.

If you're shopping for a great all-season tire for your SUV, crossover, or light duty truck ant an affordable price point, be sure to consider the new General Grabber HTS 60.
