All-Season Run-Flat Tires for BMWs

A common forum question for drivers of E90 BMWs (3-Series cars from 2006 to 2012) is, "What is the best all-season run-flat tire for my vehicle?" The two tires that currently stick out are the Continental ContiProContact SSR and Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position RFT.

Deciding on which tire is best for you depends on what your priorities are. If you're after a tire with a softer, quieter ride and longer wear, focus on the Continental ContiProContact SSR. If you're the driver who is willing to give up a little bit in ride harshness and wear for a sportier, better handling tire with more grip, you should consider the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position RFT. What are the best all season run flat tires that you would recommend for a 2008 BMW X5. Currently I have Bridgestone Dueler 255/55R18 109H Treadwear 300, Traction A and Temp A. The front need to be replaced and I ony have 34,000 miles on them. Suggestions? Thank you.

Larry,

The top all season run flat tires in 255/55R18 would be the Pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S RFT and Michelin Latitude Tour HP ZP.
