A little noisier then OE Michelins but much better traction in anything but dry conditions. Mileage has dropped 10% in the last 12 months but I understand this is from recent mandate of 10% ethanol in all gasoline (I formerly used non ethanol premium) which lowers MPG.

I returned a pair of Michelin MXV4s because they proved a little too noisy on the grooved concrete highways of DFW and on that front I've been very happy with the Serenity Plus. However, the ride quality and handling seemed more confident and stable with the Michelins. I have a set of Pilot Super Sports on my E55 which are great tires. While Im very happy with the Bridgedtones overall, I will probably go for the Michelin once it releases a successor to either the MXV4 or MXM4 range.

These tires will make you think you bought a new car! Difficult to compare to other tires...these tires are in a class all by themselves! They are so quiet as to be almost unbelievable! You will hear your cell phone now easily even at highway speeds. It has very good ratings too for dry AND wet traction. No...it is not a serious competitor for auto-cross competition as the sidewalls are not that stiff, but the ride is ever so sweet, and low rolling friction to boot! Yes it is definitely stable at highway speeds, requiring almost no steering corrections..it knows how to go down the road effortlessly!

Replaced my really worn out BFG Traction TA/V tires with these tires. They were by far the best tire and to my happiness, also the least expensive. My brother suggested this tire and reported he loves them. I will say that these tires made my car ride so well, it is like it is new. I try not to rip around corners but the cornering on these H rated tires is nearly as good as the V rated tires I removed. Very happy so far and they also look decent.

We just finished winter and never had a worry driving through any snow conditions. i would buy these again.

These tires are absolutely amazing. I took a trip to the Tail of the Dragon and had them mounted the same day I was to leave. They saw temperatures ranging from 32F in high elevations to 69F in the low lands during the first day. They did great in cold temperatures where I expected them to be stiff and unresponsive. I even drove on light sleet on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Cherokee, NC! Quiet on the highway and comfortable over rough roads and expansion joints. Unmatched turn-in response and feel in the dry. Now back in FL I've been daily driving them and have driven through rain heavy enough where it was decided best to pull over due to visibility, although the tires never slipped. Even now above 90F temps they have never felt greasy or lost their composure. Excellent tire.

Great tire, I have a staggered set up on a Lexus IS350 so could not rotate and the rears still lasted 20,000mi, the front ones are good for another 10,000 or so. Just ordered two new rear tires, the grip is amazing, breakaway is predictable and easy to control. Also a good tire for a HPDE.

I like to drive! I only used these tires from April through November and they made driving a delightful experience. It's the best word I've got for tires that let me drive (appropriately) aggressively even on wet asphalt. I felt confident they would keep the car on the road and experienced controlled turns and no hydroplaning. I didn't have expectations for treadware but it wasn't great for me. I didn't communicate well, apparently, and these directional tires wound up on the same wheels for two seasons. So I have two good and two shot/cupped. With better care on my part I could have gotten another 10K miles from the set. They are a sport tire and I guess if you drive like you mean it 35K miles is OK. I would definitely buy them again. Oh - they do pick up a lot of little stones. I'll be buying another set when I don't live on a dirt road any more :)

Initial Review, 1,000 Miles on Tires
March 26, 2013

I replaced my Bridgestone Turanza Serenity tires with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. I am very impressed with how quiet the ride is (I can faintly hear the engine at highway speed now), and the ride is smoother than the Bridgestones too. What impressed me most about the tires is the snow traction. This is not a car made to perform in the snow. My wife and small child got home from the airport in a snowstorm recently with no trouble and I was very happy to have chosen these tires, which were better in the snow than the Bridgestones ever were. I have a steep lip on my driveway, and it is difficult without 4WD in the snow - I was very surprised that the Continentals had no problem getting the car into the driveway that night.

The only negative I can say is that maybe they seem to drift a little bit more than the previous set I had on at highway speeds, but well worth it for the above improvements. I have only had them a couple months, so cannot speak to the durability yet, but at this price and performance vs. the Michelins I was considering, I would be ok to replace at 40k instead of 50k.

I replaced Michelin tires on our RX330 with the Bridgestone Ecopia tires when the Michelins wore out. The Ecopia tires are much quieter and far more comfortable than the Michelins and I saw a 1.5 mpg improvement in fuel consumption that I wasn't expecting, since the Michelins were supposed to be efficient tires. With nearly 15K miles on them they show no signs of wear and are as quiet and comfortable as the day we purchased them. I will definitely buy these tires again.

I have almost 47K miles on these tires and still have 5/32 of tread remaining. I have rotated the tires every 5K miles. I am very pleased with the handling in both sumer and winter and extremely pleased with the mileage. I have never had tires last more than 30K miles in the past. When these tires are finally worn out, I will replace them with exactly the same tire.

Even during the recent winter season in Rochester, NY, I have seen noticeable improvement in handling characteristics for both dry and wet/snow conditions. Traction is excellent in all situations despite having only RWD and traction control. Ride characteristics and noise levels are also noticeably improved.

This is my first ever set of winter tires, so I can't really compare them to any other tire, except all-seasons. My first misconception was that the tires would make my car invincible in the snow - they didn't. You still have to be mindful of how you're driving. Having said that, I've only driven a handful of times in the snow with these tires, and I fully enjoyed all of them. I could drive twice the speed of the other cars, in a lane that was still snowed in and had barely any tracking. I've also played around in a parking lot with about 2-3 inches of fresh snow and the responsiveness of these tires is very good. You will still slide if you're braking too quickly or turning too sharply, but much less than with the all-season tires that I've had in the past. I had one experience with deep snow, and it wasn't a good one. I tried to plow through a foot of snow in my driveway and got stuck. Not really the tire's fault, but I did notice that FWD with an open differential is not very good for those instances. That's why I think that your drive train will play a big part in the overall performance of these tires. Last thoughts - they look nice and meaty, noise level is low, and ride comfort is great. Not recommended for spirited driving, but excellent for everyday use. I would like to compare these to the Bridgestone Blizzaks, if I ever get the opportunity. Snow tires are fun!

I don't suppose anything is really perfect, but this Michelin tire is close enough to award it a 10. Quite simply, it responds to every situation a driver might ever face, even in severe winter driving. Noise is nonexistant and the comfort level at over 60,000 miles is still first class. I've never owned another tire and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one to anybody. It's that good.
