Replaced a set of Yokohama AVS. I have noticed improved braking, ride, wet traction, and noise levels....truly improved the overall handling of an already excellent handling old car. I enjoyed the same kind of improvements when I installed the same tires in my 2001 Lexus IS300. I highly recommend These tires. I will try them on my 2009 Lexus RX350 next.

I bought this tire to replace worn OEM-like Bridgestone's. I could not be happier about how this tire has performed: Quiet ride, premium look, improved steering response, and stable in wet or dry, and better than expected wear. If I don't upgrade the wheels and suspension this time around, then I will be replacing these Kumho's with a new set of Platinum LX's. Great tire!

I run a dedicated winter tire on this car, so deep snow rating is not applicable. These tires replaced a set of Bridgestone Potenzas, And I was impressed enough with the performance to install a set on my 1985 Porsche 944. They will also be the next set of tires on my 2009 Lexus RX350. Tread wear has been FANTASTIC. After 15,000 miles D W ans S wear indicators are all still clearly visible. I highly recommend these tires!

Previous tire is continental DWS. This tire is much better in terms of road feeling, response to steering, road noise, ride comfort, and light snow traction. It is especially good for people who enjoys driving (sport car).

I was planning to put a Michelin primacy MXM on my car. After putting a set of Pirelli tire (not p7) to my Lexus RX350 I decided to put this tire to my TL. Although the speed rate is one level lower than the original tire on TL.

This is clearly one of the best overall tires Bridgestone makes. It does need some time to get "broken in" though. It is really a tough tire, but feels like it is going to be a softie (good ride, quiet, etc)...well..it isn't. It is really built well and has held up over 1 year now with no bad habits...and...no detectable tread wear. This tire really should impress anybody regarding expected tire mileage. There are quieter tires out there, there are tires with higher traction (although this tire is excellent), and there are tires with better ultimate cornering capability. This tire seems to be the best 90% of all those ultimate characteristics. You won't be disappointed!

I drive my SUV pretty hard (pretty much drive it like a AWD car) and these tires are so good, I have nothing to really say about them. They do everything as expected with no surprises. Traction in both wet and dry have been very good. Better than I expected for such a high UTQG rated tire. I haven't had a chance to drive in snow yet but hopefully that will happen soon and I'll update my review to add that. I would DEFINITELY recommend these for "city slicker" SUV's.

Ordered for Lexus several years ago and have been happily surprised with minimal wear. Tires still look new. Excellent grip and very comfortable. Gave us the best ride we ever had on our LS 400. Handles very well, good turn in and really responsive. Rotated and balanced normally. At higher speeds we were surprised the tire was silent. Really feels secure dry or wet. Lexus should have put S.4 on car from day one. We will buy tire again if needed, but am thrilled if we ever go to sell car the tires sure look in excellent shape and give a great ride. If you have a heavy luxury vehicle and want a superb tire this is it.

I am a Michelin man. But the factory tire wore out on my CT200H and I was not pleased, dealer said that factory puts on "substandard" tires and the replacements (same model) would be better. Sure they would... So I put on the P7's. Wow, these guys give the best ride I have had in a long time. Smooth, quiet and responsive. Fuel economy is negligibly lower, but made up for in the better ride.

I bought this set after reading reviews online and was more geared towards reliability. After getting them installed, I could tell right away how much quieter, responsiveness, and clean (with a notable brand name) looking this set is. I haven't put that much time on these tires and the weather here in KS is pretty unpredictable. I will always have backup tools and stuff for crazy snow/ice days but just to make it home with these tires will boost my confidence. I will re-evaluate again after having some time behind the wheel and going to places where I can really get on them without fear of slipping on ice/snow. It's like driving a new car almost since the tread noise has made it really quiet.

Car came with Dunlop tires. I cannot believe Lexus put those tires on this car. I got rid of them at 25K. I have a 2000 LX 470 and have always been happy with the LTX M/S. These tires are even better. There is nothing bad about this tire. Bought at Tire Rack. Had dealer mount 'em. Better everything: handling, ride, traction and even gas mileage. I hunt, so in addition to city/highway, I do cornfields, creeks and every other type of off-road driving that can be found in the Midwest. The only thing that keeps me from buying a Range Rover Sport is that I cannot find these tires for that truck. I still have my LX 470 and still use the LTX M/S on that truck (it has 287K). I'm not necessarily a Michelin freak. My wife has a Lexus RX and I'm putting Continentals on that. But for the larger SUVs, the LTX M/S is fantastic tire. I like the M/S 2 better than the M/S, but they don't make it for the '00 LX470. When my friends are stuck in their Range Rovers, I'm going strong, mainly because of the traction these tires afford. On the highway, rain, snow, and sun, the tires handle well and are quiet. I'm 63 and have driven a car/truck farther in reverse than most have driven in forward. These tires are simply the best. If they make 'em to fit your vehicle, buy them. You will thank me. I promise. And I don't work for Michelin or anybody else in any auto related industry.

New Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus Versus Dueler H/L Alenza for Crossovers and SUVs

Tuesday, March 25, 2014 by Gary Stanley

Back in 2004, the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza was introduced to premium crossover and SUV drivers as the premier tire of choice. Always a good performer in our Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season category, it has been praised by our customers for its quiet ride, great wet traction, wear and good looks. Appropriate vehicle applications and Original Equipment fitments include the Cadillac Escalade, Acura MDX, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz ML Class, Lexus RX, Buick Enclave and the new Cadillac ATS and ELR. For more on this tire's great reputation and feedback, take a look at "Best Tires for a Street-Driven SUV."

Bridgestone is known for continually pushing the envelope, and ten years later, has introduced a new and improved version of the H/L Alenza. This new tire is the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus.

This new version maintains the same appearance, popular sidewall design and efficient tread pattern of the current Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza. That is where the differences end. H/L Alenza Plus tires have a new tread compound that Bridgestone states will improve on the tire's fuel economy by reducing rolling resistance by up to 10% compared to the previous version of the tire without sacrificing wet, dry or snow traction. Bridgestone has also upped the ante for treadwear by offering the tire with an 80,000-mile limited treadwear warranty!

If you're in the market for a premium, quality replacement tire for your crossover or SUV, don't overlook the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus.

I have these tire on both my Toyota 4Runner and on my Lexus GX here in Denver.
Quite and comfortable on trips to the Colorado mountains and great in snow and on off-road trails, including muddy ones. I've put about 40,000 miles on 4runner and 35,000 on the GX and both are about due for replacement. Clearly not the longest lasting, but I'll head out into any conditions with these tires that Colorado can throw at me. So I'm buy them again.

Having spent 5 days up at Winter Park, CO in February where every day there was about 2-5 inches of snowfall, and that the roads are primarily ice/snow packed with my "all season" Bridgestone Potenzas (which are an excellent 3 season tire), I quickly made the investment to put on the Michelin Alpins PA3 based upon reviews here. I'm back up here at Winter Park with these set of tires and there has been a significant difference - no sliding, excellent braking, and not once has my electronic stability control warning indicator come on. There are many steep, icy, snow pack hills, which these tires handle very well going up and coming down (reasonable speeds about 30 MPH). Previously my Bridgestone Potenzas would be sliding all over the place. I'm a believer.

I live in Western, NY, and travel for work in WV,OH,PA,VA. These Tires can handle as much snow as my car can push. The Tires Handled perfectly the day after I bought them PA 219 was closed for Trucks, bc of the icy/ heavy snow condition on the Mountains. Most the roads that night I traveled weren't plowed or pre-treated (i.e) Sand, Salt,Brine). There was parts of the road that had up to 18"+ it drifted. The tires are very affective in wet, mudding, ice, light/deep snow and ice. I would keep these tires on all year round on my AWD. I've had them for just about a year now, and they still handle like the day I bought them.

I have always believed that Blizzaks are the best winter tires you can get. My car feels planted and surefooted with these tires. There is no excessive ABS and traction interventions when I am driving. I am very impressed as how smooth the tires are on the highways and on the back roads. It is comfortable and still provides excellent steering feel unlike the older Bridgestone Blizzaks. It handles better then my all season Michelins. The road noise is average for winter tire. The traction in light snow is fantastic! Even in deep snow, my car can claw through the pack snow plus ice without getting stuck. Compared to Dunlop Wintersport 3D and Michelin Pilot Alpin Pa4 which are also performance oriented tires, the Blizzaks have better handling with better snow capabilities unlike the former two tires. I highly recommend these tires.

Initial Review, 150 Miles on Tires
January 16, 2014

Just installed these yesterday so this is an initial review. I'm recently retired from the tire and auto service business so you can bet I'm pretty picky about tires. These Primacy MXM4's replaced a set of HX MXM4's that had given good service. I found a great installer through Tire Rack that had a Hunter road force balancer and a clean, modern shop. The new tires all had the same manufacturing date of the 49th week of 2013 from a US plant. Fresh tires indeed!

I was pleasantly surprised by how well these tires balanced out. Road force variation was extremely low. One of them took no balance weight at all, the others only needed minimal weight ( 15, 25 and 35 grams total). This speaks well of the tire quality and the quality of the original equipment Lexus wheels.

The new tires drove perfectly. Absolutely zero vibration, shimmy or directional pulling. That is real important to me. I was the go-to guy for ride and alignment complaints at work. Sure glad I don't have to deal with it on these tires. I replace my own tires at about 5/32" so the old HX MXM4's were in their dry road handling prime. The new Primacy's at full tread depth don't feel quite as grippy or responsive but they are so quiet on textured surfaces and so smooth over surface imperfections that the trade-off is well worth it. I'm sure grip and responsiveness will improve with a bit of wear and scrubbing in. Overall this is an outstanding tire for this car.

I have been riding on Bridgestone tires for years. I wanted a tire rated for a quiet smooth ride for the 1995 land yacht, and I have not been disappointed. Tire wear is non-existent, handling in wet and dry is great. I recently purchased a '10 Infiniti G37 sedan and when the tires on the G need replacing I am going to purchase the Serenity Plus.
