These tires were installed on a 2008 Honda Civic Sedan. These are by far the quietest tires that have ever been on this vehicle. It feels like a different car! Next time I need tires, I will be looking for these first.

Just getting ready to take these off for the summer. This is my wife's vehicle but we drove together 100 miles yesterday in snow/sleet/freezing rain, mostly highway, windy/gusty conditions. Honestly with a cross wind I was a little disappointed, I had to constantly correct to maintain a line... I've a set on HT all season on a Toyota celica and haven't noticed any quirky type handling like this on that car. I'm not sure if this is the cars fault or the tires. I'll add another review at the end of summer concerning the handling.

I like in North/Central New Jersey and previously drove in and around PA. I do a lot of highway driving now. I would describe myself as a "spirited" driver. I have 70K on these tires. They are the only tires I have ever purchased for my car after the OEM tires wore at 35K and my car has 105K on it today. I just took my Civic to the dealer last night and the service manager at the Honda dealer told me my tires were basically new at 6-7s. So I would highly recommend these tires. They are reasonably priced and worth it. I drive in snow, ice, rain and sleet. I never miss work for weather so I drive in some tight situations. The tires haven't let me down.

We got about 9" of snow today and these tires made me feel safer than I ever have driving in a snow storm. When other people are slipping, these tires keep me rolling without an issue. They're as sturdy and surefooted in light, powdery snow as they are in the heavy, wet stuff we got today. In fact, I drove into a parking lot with about 6" of untouched snow, and it was like nothing for my tires. I've had Blizzaks in the past, and I'm not sure they could've handled that scenario without some spinning. I am a nervous winter driver, and I am so relieved to have a tire that makes me feel more confident on my long commutes to and from work in rural areas.

I live in Long Island NY and we just got hit by the blizzard, where I live got hit the hardest and we got 34" of snow. I work 40 miles away from home and I left during the worst of the storm. I was passing stuck suv's and trucks left and right. I cannot believe how great these tires are. As I was passing cars that were stuck I can just see them staring at me wondering how is that little civic passing my 4wd suv? well all I can say is winter tires, that's how. I did not get stuck once, going up hills and through deep unplowed roads. I am sold on these tires for life and I will always buy them from now on. If you have a lowered civic, or just a basic fwd car I HIGHLY suggest these. Everyone knows how bad this blizzard was and these tires made it great for me. I was even passing plow trucks that got stuck. I have these tires in low profile 215 45 17 tire size so I can imagine how much better they would be with a larger sidewall but these are the best winter tires money can buy!! Highly suggest you buy them if you have a fwd car or truck!!

With a car with this many miles on it, you can say I know my car very well. I liked so much that I have them on my Old's mini van and my wife's 2006 Civic.

These are the best tires I have owned -- including Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgestone on Saab, BMW, Accord. These are my first Contis. I thought they were freaks that would degrade after wear-in, opposite other tires. They were amazing right out of the box. And they got better. I had top of the line Bridgestones. These are miles better in every category. Particularly wet traction (you can feel them slice through puddles) and dry cornering (sticky and plenty of warning before gradually letting go). Quiet too. There is nothing I don't like about these tires. Still early for true tire wear veal, but looks good so far. How did Conti do it? Most tires are trade-offs in different performance categories. These don't trade off anything. If I can get only 30k miles, they will be replaced by another set.

I ordered 2 sets of these tires ( both studded, hence the lower dry traction score and noise ) with new steel rims, one set for my brother who has the identical vehicle. I have just over 7780 kms on these, ordered October 15th, installed on the 22nd of October.

These tires are AMAZING in the snow, and equally competent on ice with the carbide studs. Wear seems to be non-existant, however I haven't measured the tread depth. The only downside to having studded tires though is the noise, which is more annoying at lower speeds in town, as well as reduced traction braking and accelerating on dry road in the winter.

With the traction control off, you can break them loose in wet snow, but it takes a bit of throttle to do so. With traction control on, this car is like a 4x4, I managed to climb about a 25 degree incline with about 5 inches of fresh wet snow ( back lane that didn't get plowed ) without losing forward momentum, although the traction light was flickering.

If you live in the snow belt, you need these tires. If you also have a lot of ice in the winter ( melt/freeze cycles + rain and snow ) you need them studded. What a difference over driving most of my life on all seasons.

This is exactly what I was looking for such a light car as Honda Civic. Today it heavily snowed and there was freezing rain as well, lots of slush - the car behaves excellent!!!!! Complete satisfaction and great handling compare to previously used stock Bridgestone Turanza and Yokohama Avid. EnVigor. Michelin is a real high end!!!!!!

Threw these on after summer when it became a little more slick around Seattle. These tires are much better than the Kumos I had on before and are about the same price. The only only compliant I have about these tires are that they have more road noise on the highway than my old tires and are a little more squrley over 80mph. I had them checked to see if they needed to be rebalanced but they were within spec. All in all a good set of tires for the money.

I was the first to purchase and review these tires, Update at 7k miles: Only use these for snow and ice, they are terrible and unsafe to drive on when roads are clear, they are like driving on a wet sponge, feel very unsafe. Car was totaled last week due to loss of traction from these tires on dry road. Will not purchase again, yes this is not a performance tire (and its not a performance car), do yourself a favor and get a good all season tire, may possibly try the altimax artics on new car.

Initial Review, 35,000 Miles on Tires
March 15, 2013

These tires were used the majority of their life driving from the coast of Houston, Texas up to Northern Arkansas. 35,000 miles is the most miles I have ever gotten from a set of Tires and I have always bought Michelin's. My driving is often spirited but only when it can be. Most of Texas' highways are flat and straight, however once you get into the middle of Arkansas you hit the mountains and the highways start to wind and get fun! These tires held up to everything I gave them, however their dry traction and cornering stability is much better on hot dry pavements rather than wet pavements. I can remember a few times when these tires had less that 10,000 miles on them I slid a bit into a curve on a rainy day. This was more driver error than anything but I prefer a tire that can take anything I give it, even trying to make a 90 degree turn at 65mph when it's raining.

These were great tires. Mine wore out quickly but this was not unexpected as I had the suspension setup on the car with a -1 degree camber on the rear and -.5 degree negative on the front. Caster and toe were set to factory Honda specs. These tires gave excellent dry traction and cornering stability as they were used on a sporty Civic that had been lowered 2 inches and had a fully adjustable autocross suspension setup. I am considering purchasing these tires for my 2012 Civic Si that is fully stock and has not been modified in any way just to see how many more miles I can get out of them. These are a great set of All Season tires for spirited driving or for those wanting the flexibility of an All Season but with the performance of a Max Performance Summer Tire. These Pilot Sport A/S Plus' were used in Northern Arkansas for the majority of their life and were purchased over a summer tire due to the inclement weather conditions that Arkansas receives during the winter months. Obviously I wouldn't recommend venturing out into a blizzard with these tires but they fared will on freshly snowed roads and over a few day old black ice spots along the highways. Spring and Summer times rainy and dry days are what these tires were meant for and they are made to be driven hot!

Great set of tires! When I took delivery of my 2012 Civic Sedan Si, I immediately replaced the OEM tires with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Handling, grip, and noise level are superb. I have a relatively long daily commute into work and most of this is highway. I initially wasn't expecting high mileage out of these tires, but wanted to get really good handling for the sporty Civic Si. Much to my surprise, I was able to get both. I rotated my tires every 5000 miles and checked the tire pressure weekly to ensure they stayed at the recommended pressure. One thing I noticed compared to the tires on my other vehicles is that these tires hold pressure really well. Even with roughly 500 miles driven weekly, I seldom had to add air. My experience with these tires in summary has been fantastic. Consequently, I just ordered a second set of four Pilot Super Sports today from Tire Rack for the Si.
