Testing Grand Touring All-Season Tires

Wednesday, September 15, 2010 by Henry Carlson
This week I tested the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity, the Continental ContiProContact, the Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring and the Michelin Primacy MXM4 Grand Touring All-Season tires.

Compared to Standard Touring All-Season tires, all four of the Grand Touring All-Season tires were much more responsive in cornering and lane changes.

I found the Bridgestone and the Michelin tires to be the best in the area of handling with the Continental and Goodyear about a half step lower. All four tires were very quiet with the Goodyear just a bit noiser on the highway. In the category of ride comfort, again all four did very well with the Goodyear just a bit stiffer.
