I have to admit that at first I underestimated these tires. I wasn't expecting much from them, but they turned out to be great tires and despite my hungry driving they held very well, even when wires got exposed. Stealership told me it was not safe to drive those tires since wires were exposed and I still went on 2k trip and made it home without any issues. Hankook's are tires you can trust!

Just put these on to replace the Michelin MXM4. OMG so far very good. Just put two tires on in the front. We had one of those bibicle rainstorms extremely heavy down pour. Drove on the Taconic pkwy in NY state a very curvy road and these thing didn't slip. Going to buy two more for the rear. Very satisfied...Very Safe!!!!

Bang for the buck! If the tires last as long as they appear at this point,(1/32) of wear or less, they will rank up with the best tires I've owned for everyday driving. They are very quite, and smooth riding. Water on the road is of little concern until pooling occurs, then a little grab. My biggest complaint is the slowish response to input. They on my older Volvo, and it's suspension is in great condition, (Koni shocks/struts, IPD sway bars). For comparison, also have an Volvo S60R with Michelin Super Sport's on it, they can't compete, but are in a completely different category. Hankook are still a great tire.

What an amazing tire! Put a set (265 rear, 225 front) on newly bought used Porsche 911 cabriolet. Only 4000 mi so far but great performance. Amazing stability on wet roads (I mean Florida downpour wet).Found myself at 70+ mph with no hydroplane feeling. Wouldn't recommend it though for general safety. This is my 3rd 911. Have had them all. Yokohama, Parelli, Michelin. These are the best! Wear looks great. Will return with review after a few more thousand.

Recently replaced the Goodyear Eagle RSA's that came from the factory with these Hankooks. HUGE Improvement! Very impressed with them over the first approx 1000 miles that they have been on the vehicle. Quieter than the Goodyears, just as smooth as the Goodyears, and much better traction (both dry and wet, no experience with snow yet). Was a bit worried about this purchase at first, since the survey sample size was much smaller than the similarly rated (but much more expensive) Conti's, plus the price for these Hankooks seemed too good to be true based on the performance ratings. As always, TireRack provided great info, and I don't regret the purchase decision for an instant! I would definitely buy another set of these.

This is proving to be a great tire. Drove in a blinding rainstorm at 70 mph with no hydroplaning. Road noise is almost non-existent and ride is excellent. For the price you can't beat this tire. It is as good, if not better, than any tire I have owned and this includes Michelin, Yokohama, Pirelli and Continental. I don't plan to drive this car in snow but did want a tire that would perform well in cold temperatures.

A marked improvement over OEM runflats in terms of traction and less rigid over bumps. Look good on car, minimal road noise, and solid cornering. I was hesitant on getting these, but they were an excellent buy in terms of how they work with the car.

Great tire so far, very quiet, all I hear is my exhaust. Handling and grip is excellent. Driving in serious heavy rain and no worries. So far this tire has exceeded my expectations, for the money I think it's a great value. So much difference from the OEM Goodyear RSA (which are the crappiest tires ever made). I feel much more confident in my car's handling with these tires and so much more comfortable. As long as the treadwear is good I will definitely buy another set. Thanks to all the other reviews on this tire that helped me decide on buying them.

I love these tires. My previous tires(Mastercraft and Hankook), would initially begin spinning before they "caught," whether the ground was dry or wet. The Continentals hold their ground with no spin. They make me feel very secure. Another bonus is the fact that these tires are relatively new for the Continental brand(I think the "Pure" design came out last September, so the tires were manufactured recently. In fact, according to the sidewall, mine were only three weeks old when they were put on my car. No problem with tires sitting around for months or years.
Before I bought these tires, my daughter wouldn't drive my car in the rain. Now, I can't keep her away from it. She noticed the vast improvement immediately.
I am sold on Continentals,(my wife's new Outback came with them, and this is how I was able to test them). In the future, this is the only tire I'll consider.

VERY good adhesion. Fairly noisy on the highway, not as lethal in the rain as I expected (a pleasant surprise). Got the wheel & tire package mounted, balanced & delivered for about $1000. I will use these for Autocross ONLY. I could not be happier.

Having previously owned more than 50 cars, I was a person who distained the "off brands " and had only Michelins or Conti's on my cars. When I bought this BMW, I really disliked the run flats and discarded them for these Hankoos after using the wonderful resources of Tire Rack. I've been blown away by these tires. I recently did a fast run from Florida to Eastern Canada in 4 days (2400 miles) and was thoroughly impressed by the tires. When you consider how very reasonable these cost, they are a no brainer to recommend.

When first installed were a bit squirrely at Interstate speeds, disappeared in a few hundred miles. In very cold weather and after sitting for days, need a short distance to warm up and smooth out. Very solid ride and stick really well. Difficult to cite any harshness directly attributable to the tires and not characteristic of the car. These are great tires for the price, far better than Michelin for value with no loss of performance. Treadwear rating is higher than Michelin, speed rating is same. Notes: Size given is rears only, this car takes a different size on front. Also, tires are Ventus V12 evo (not evo2). J.Wilkie, Charlotte,NC

This is an excellent tire. I have driven it in heavy rain and it does not hydroplane even at speeds in excell of 75 mph. The road noise is imperceptible. Handling is great. I highly recommend this tire. I researched for weeks and settled on this tire after reading many reviews. I am confident I made a good decision. So far, this has been one of the best tires I have ever owned.

June 14, 2014

Initial impressions:

1) Tirerack's review wasn't kidding that this tire produces booming sounds when hitting bumps, which gives the impression of a much more severe bump than it really is

2) Ride is good, but multiple bumps in succession produces jiggling motions (wasn't the case with the prior tires)

3) Steering sensitivity is smooth and direct. Initial resistance is light off of center, and then builds as more input is dialed in

4) I'm getting vibrations in the steering that I didn't have before, might have to get rebalanced

At this point, I'm somewhat disappointed in this tire. I will update once I get more miles.

Purchased these continental tires to replace the fading 3 yr old factory installed Hankook H431 tires. I could tell the difference the minute I drove off the dealership lot. These tires are like riding on clouds, even comparing to the Hankook's when new. The road noise is minimal. The ride comfort exceeded expectations. I decided to purchase the pure contact over the extreme contact's because of the eco tech on these. I drive mostly highway, approximately 70 miles a day and I haven't noticed a significant difference in MPG. Too early to comment on tread wear and handling in inclement weather, minimal in southern California. Thus far, I would recommend these tires.
