Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Have run these about 1,000-1,500 miles since mounting them about a month ago. Exceptional tires. They replaced the daily a/s tires (Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric) I had on my car's 19-inch Cadiz wheels for the previous 40k miles. I also have a set of Pilot Super Sports for track. Far and away these tires are better so far than both of the others. Versus the...  Read More

Another winter season is behind us and temperatures are rising enough that many enthusiasts are getting their warm-weather toys out for summertime fun. Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

BEST SUMMER TIRES EVER. Save yourself the time and just buy them. I've had Kumho, Sumitomo, Goodyear, Pirelli, Bridgestone and a lot of the Michelin's before the PS4. The PS4's are light years ahead. Unbelievable traction in all conditions, even at the limits. Yet somehow they are super quiet and the ride quality is amazing. Soft, supple even. I have them on...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Bridgestone DriveGuard

I have about 22-23k on this DriveGuard tires, and I can honestly say they are THE BEST tires I've ever owned. This car came with Continental tires from the factory, and they worked, but didn't do anything specially great. I would consider them a middle of the road tire. Since then I had a set of Goodyear's which had a good price, but were really sub standard...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season

OE on the Mustang; just taken off for winter tires. Overall, i was impressed with the dry weather traction--enough stick to make the car fun to drive without a harsh ride. Steering response feels good. Downside was noise level--the Blizzak snows were actually a bit quieterOverall a decent tire for the Mustang Ecoboost--no experience in snow; wet weather...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Super Sport

I struggled with making the final decision of identifying which tire to install on my '15 Challenger R/T Scat Pack. My car is a daily driver where I utilize the concrete pavement freeway, mostly, to and from work, including in town driving on weekends. I do not live in a state where driving in snow presents a concern. Given the temperate year round climate...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Continental TrueContact

I live near Buffalo NY. We get a few snow storms each year, and the roads get extremely slippery and icy. Its only a few days each year, but you don't want to get in to an accident on one of those days.My wife bought a set of these True Contact tires a year and a half ago and as we approach the end of the second winter with them I am absolutely amazed at how...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (W- or Y-Speed Rated)

I now know how the other half live! What an incredible difference. I bought these to replace the OEM equipped Goodyear Eagles, which were acceptable in most driving conditions, but brutal in winter. I started to wonder if it was the car. Nope, definitely the tires! It is not surprising to roll off the driveway and onto a snow covered road in our development...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus

The tires are good for all seasons. Traction is good, not great. The OEM summer tires (Goodyear Eagle F1s) on my car had superior traction -- especially while cornering. You need to lower your speed 5-10 mph in corners with these tires. The ride is slightly less stiff than the Eagle F1s (which are rather stiff tires). Over the F1s I noticed a slightly less...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Primacy MXM4

Purchased the MXM4 to replace the oem Goodyear LS that came with TLX V6 AWD - the Goodyear is a very poor choice for this car, shame on Acura for this decision. I was looking for luxury level performance, and the MXM4 delivers without question. Quiet, smooth, dampens road jolts and bumps extremely well. Handling is not sport-level, but is a significant...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 (W- or Y-Speed Rated)

I have put 40,000 miles on these tires, and I will be putting on a set of the newer AS3+ this weekend. I have been buying, researching, and driving tires for 2 decades. I am a true car guy, and I love driving, and I really wanted to drive the -------- out of these to see what they could do. First, I know it may sound crazy, but I never once rotated them. Yet...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 RunOnFlat

Other reviews say these tires are horrible in cold/wet situations. This tire isn't made for wet/cold days, but have had no issues in the rain or cold with them and no issues out of them what so ever with my aggressive driving style. I have even gapped a few drag radial'd 5.0's on them from a dig. They hook great for a street tire/run flat.. I drive my car...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Continental TrueContact

These Conti True Contacts are the 3rd set of tires on this car. First 2 were Goodyear Assurance ComforTred (not Touring) and Hankook Optimo H727. Both were decent. I got cupping on the H727's and it's too early to tell if that will be an issue on the Conti's - but the wear is very slow so far. After only 17k miles, I love the TrueContacts. They are extremely...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D

I put these on my new 2016 Impreza (16x7 Moda rims) and so far they have been excellent in the couple of storms we've had in Denver. I've driven them out in the Summit county mountains over completely snow covered passes and they performed perfectly without hesitation. I was mainly concerned with noise and comfort and these perform as well if not better in...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Premier A/S

I installed these tires on my 2009 Pontiac Vibe which came new with Goodyears. I was very dissatisfied with the ride of the Goodyears, hard compound, felt every bump in the road. I actually considered getting rid of the car. Put on the Michelins and thought I was driving a totally different car. Nice smooth comfortable ride, great handling and response....  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Goodyear Assurance ComforTred

Tires were bought and put on my wife's car but I drive most of the time. These tires are so much more comfortable than the factory tires (Kumho). The ride is quite and so smooth it seems like we bought a new car. They were a little more expensive than tires we could have purchased but we felt confident they would provide us with everything we were looking...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Bridgestone DriveGuard

I changed out the OEM Goodyear Eagle RFT's that were frankly not acceptable. Blew out 2 Goodyears before replacing all 4 with Driveguard. We have more than 32k on these tires, and all is well, no damage, they run fairly quiet, and have good traction. Mileage seems to be in line with 50 k warrantee, likely to get more than that. I rotate them every 5-7k....  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Goodyear Eagle LS-2

OE tires, so expectations have been muted. They've been overall decent tires, fairly quiet on the highway, pretty good dry performance, but not really that good in wet or icy conditions. Compared to other tires I've experienced, they have a tendency to hydroplane. Snow and ice traction is average at best, and I've generally tried to avoid driving this car on...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (W- or Y-Speed Rated)

Replaced original Goodyear ZP on 2007 Corvette Conv. with 35K miles. Immediate reduction in road noise and comfort of ride. Sidewall is softer and absorbs noise much better than original run flat tires. Eliminated humm from back tires that I thought was just par for the course for tires with this much road contact. Paid more for independent garage to install...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2

Bought my Boxster used with a new set of cheap Nexen 3000's on it. Had two sets of Goodyear F1-D3's after that, good tires when new but not great when used - balance issues, poor ride, noise, tramlining, etc. Bought these BFG's expecting they'd be no better, but they've totally transformed the car. Excellent ride and low noise, ultra-smooth up to 100+ mph....  Read More
