Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Continental PureContact with EcoPlus Technology

Tire Rack if you are reading this, THANK YOU!Wow. What an amazing tire. For those with short attention spans, great grip, cornering, and treadwear with NO noise. I'm serious. I live in DC so we get a mix of summer, rain, snow and ice driving. When I bought these I replaced a nearly bare set of tires. These have great snow traction, from a stop or steering...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Goodyear Integrity

These same tires were on my Ford Explorer when I bought it at 52,000 miles and at 116,000 miles they still have 25% tread left so I bought new ones exactly the same from the Goodyear store and got a $60 rebate.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot HX MXM4

i dont see why people are so down on this tire, i have had many tires in my time and this is one of the best i have ever had, it came as OEM tires on my ford. I have 67,000 miles on them and they still have 5/32nd left on them. they are vary quite and ride vary well. in fact they ride better and are quieter then the tires on my Mercedes s555, that car has...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Pirelli Scorpion STR

These came as OEM on 2008 Ford Edge, they lasted 65,000 miles and could have gone longer. Very quiet tire, good in snow & rain. I bought replacement set of the same tires. I also bought Pirelli tire to replace OEM tires on 2011 Honda Odyssey. Those Michelin tire only lasted 45,000 miles and were not as good with traction.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S

I put 4 new 265/75/16 load range E tires on my 2002 Ford Excursion 7.3 Diesel in October 2008. These were less expensive than most tires then and still are today. It is now almost 6 years later and these tires have over 67,500 miles on them with a few more thousand left to go on them. The vehicle was used on a 4 week trip to two a travel trailer cross...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 3

The ride is really comfortable, road noise hardly any, great gas mileage average 38.5 mpg, great sporty look, handles bumps well. I will have my 5000 mile service and my tires still are in great shape, the Michelin Tires have been awesome so far. I would recommend the tires as a great buy and performance for highway and town driving. Go Ford for selecting...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Continental ExtremeContact DWS

Had these on an 08 Ford Fusion FWD in Michigan. Absolutely fantastic in the snow, even with just a FWD car I could drive through 8-10 of snow pretty easily before I started having issues getting stuck, and (winter) braking traction was exceptional for an all-season. The only times i ever had any problems with this tire was on solid ice (where nothing but...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Destination LE 2

This tire has been great on our Ford Escape. Great traction during the warmer weather with rain. It provides great traction too! I was very surprised how I aggressive I could drive and the tires would grip and the car would not slip. The tires are still newer so I can't really speak for tread wear yet. I rotate them every oil change/3000 miles so they should...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Goodyear Eagle LS-2

for all of the tires I have had over the past 30 years across many different vehicles, these have been the worse I have ever had from a wet/snow traction point of view. This set came with the new vehicle (2013 Ford Fusion) and I am replacing them. I would never recommend these tires if you live in an area that will have snow accumulation.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2

Ride: 2010 Ford Flex Limited 255/45R20. Came from a Goodyear Eagle RS-A.These were my second option because the Continental Extreme Contact DWS were back ordered. My first thought on these BFG's were that they were quite noisy. To a point where i had to turn up the radio system's Speed Compensator Volume to max, and it still doesn't quite drown out the noise...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin X-Ice Xi3

I've had these tires for one winter season on a front drive Ford Escape (NJ December, January and February). I do about 3,500 miles a month so I have about 11,000 miles on them. Excellent deep snow traction and very good hydroplaning resistance. They're snow tires so I don't expect excellent dry handling, but they do well and are predictable. I've also used...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Kumho Road Venture AT KL78

Bought these last year as part of a winter tire/wheel package for my wife's Ford Edge. My wife and I are very pleased with these Kuhmo's. We had no issues whatsoever driving anytime the snow accumulated. In fact I looked forward to driving on the unplowed hilly streets this past winter. These tires are somewhat noisy due to the aggressive tread pattern, but...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT

I purchased a 2013 Ford Explorer 4x4 in December 2012. It came with Michelin Latitude Touring tires 245/60R-18. These are probably the worse tires to put on an SUV and after reading a lot of reviews possibly any car. I went through two Cleveland winters with them and refused to take on another. I consider these Michelins to be absolutely treacherous in snow...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Pirelli Scorpion ATR

I just bought a 2014 Ford F-150 Platinum truck 2 weeks ago, and I am now in the market to replace the OEM Pirelli Scorpion ATR's.Driving in the rain was interesting as the back-end would kick out on me from time to time. The rain was not overly hard, so I was a bit surprised. This should have set off red flags in my head, but I did not think too much about...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus

I replaced the OEM Michelin Energy Saver R/S tires on my Fore C-Max Hybrid at about 39,000 miles. The Pirellis feel beefier, and the C-Max rides significantly more comfortably and quietly with them on. With both tires, the handling is precise, though the turning radius is abominably wide with either. One unanticipated difference is that the vehicle's fuel...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Bridgestone Blizzak WS80

I am a longtime Blizzak owner. The first set I owned was in 1998 for my Mazda Protege. It's amazing how Bridgestone continues to improve what I regard as the best winter season tire available. I've used DM1V's on my trucks and WS on my cars and crossovers for nearly two decades. They generally last 3 seasons before the multicell compound is broken down and...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus

Went from Continental Eco Contacs to this Bridgestone Alenza Plus. I would give the Continentals a solid 8 the Bridgestones ara a solid 9. Especially comfortable in the ride dept, much better than Contis. Noise level is also better. One area the Contis win is in gas mileage, Contis are hard to beat when gas mileage is an issue. One more thing, I got the...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Super Sport

Coming off a set of Goodyear F1 Asymetical's, this is a night and day comparison....why Ford didn't have these as the OEM tire for the Focus ST is beyond me!!! These things claw at the tarmac and they raise the bar on overall performance for the type of tire it is. I used to be able to break traction to the front wheels easily with the F1's...even when brand...  Read More
