Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Destination LE 2

These tires are great during dry or rainy season. Nice smooth quiet ride on the highway. But these tires are useless in light snow. NO snow traction at all.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Transforce AT

Bought a full set for my crew cab on recomendation of mechanic at teh shop I normally go to, never again. I only remembered later on that a 92 4x4 my parents used to have had the same tires, and it could get stuck in less then 5in of snow. On my Crew cab the only time these tires had any wet pavement traction was when I had a good load in the bed, but when...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Destination A/T

Just put on 2nd set of destination AT on my 04 Ranger Edge. 1st set got me 73K miles. The first 50K miles was highway and paved roads. The last 23K miles was the same and sand/stone quarry. Tire works great in snow, for a 2WD light truck low gear makes a difference. Replaced 1st set due to low tread and visible cracking. Otherwise i would have kept going on...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Defender

Excellent set of tires. I replaced my original set of firestones that gave me 40k miles with these mitchelin defenders. Instantly I felt like I was driving on pillows for the first 50k miles. They are slightly louder since then but just as quitet. Only complaint is it falls short of the 90k mile gaurentee.im at 80k and could probably get 5 k more but I'd...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval AS (H- or V-Speed Rated)

I bought these tires for my wife's Jetta after I was told the Firehawk Wideoval Indy 500 Summer tire was being discontinued. I had been running Blizzaks for the winter, and wanted a performance tire. The salesman told me that this tire is a great all around performer. I decided to test out the Firehawks in the snow, before putting the winter set on. Not...  Read More

I change from the OEM Bridgestone Dueler that are basiclly the worst tires for this vehicle, to these bread on butter Firestone destination LE2 tire. This tire made the car change from good to best. The steering is smooth and responsive, good on wet no slippage whatsoever, excellent on dry, i dont go off road but i have a set on a Toyota land cruiser Prado...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500

The treads are nice and deep when brand new. Even though this is a summer tire, it still drove like a M&S tire in the snow. I was still able to get around safely in 3 inches of snow covered highway.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Winterforce UV

This has been my fourth winter and coming up on my fourth summer. I never changed them and they are fine with plenty of tread and more than 45K miles on the tires. They have performed real well in the summer. I rotate and balance every 3 months regardless of mileage. It's a rather noisy tire, I just turn up the music. It's very good on snow, and hardpack,...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Destination LE 2

Without a doubt, this is one of the BEST tires I have ever used on a vehicle! I have about 10K miles on it now & the tread wear is perfect along with the ride & performance. I recently drove from Lancaster PA to Richmond VA in the late winter storm that hit in late Feb and had ZERO issues in several inches of snow and in ice. The ride is smooth and noise...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Destination A/T

Six years and 72000 miles, this tire still has 5/32nds of tread left. They're still ok on pavement, but will now spin on soft shoulders with wet grass. Wet dirt roads, ditches and mud holes are getting tricky. Time for new ones. I like this tire a lot because it's quiet on pavement and handles at all speeds and conditions. Overall, an excellent, all around...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Destination M/T

After owning my truck for over 12 years and having to replace tires every year, I had a Firestone shop convince me to install these tires on my truck. I was skeptical when I had first bought them, with Firestone's reputation. I can say that after 2.5 years of running these tires, that they have been great. I do rotate them about every 10,000 miles and have...  Read More

After much research, I bought a set of these for my 4x4 f150. I'm a cdl truck driver 10+years, so please don't listen to all the whiny people who can't drive on snow, And don't have a clue what they are talking about. This is the best all around tire I have found for light pickups/ SUVs. What I like is they are a strong- well made tire! Great traction, great...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Precision Touring

I have been extremely happy with these tires after using Yokahama Avid touring the last two sets. EVERYTHING about these tires is great except the road noise MAY be a little more than the Yokahamas. Would definitely buy again and I am getting a set for me other vehicle soon. A+++++ I have never been excited about tires before :)   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Destination A/T

I bought the Firestone Destination A/Ts based on their very high ratings in the Survey section at Tire Rack. In the past, I always thought Michelin made the best tires, so I was somewhat skeptical of switching to the Firestone brand. After 11 months and 19,000 miles of driving, it's clear that the Firestone Destination A/T is the best tire that has ever been...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Destination M/T

I have had the FS Destination MT on my Jeep for 5 years at approx 30-40K miles. I have nothing but good things to say about these tires. Being in the military I travel every three years. I purchased in Northern Michigan, near the UP. Lots of off roading and winter driving. With a fully packed Jeep, I drove from Northern Michigan to Alaska. Ran the ALCAN....  Read More
