Excellent tire! Very much better than the replacement Firestone 500 Police, Kumho's, and particularly, the Goodyear Eagles Z-rated that came on the car. I had a tread separation on one of these at 24,000 miles - inexcusable on a Z rated tire at highway speeds. The Kumho's handled excellently, and probably gave slightly superior dry traction vs. the new Pilots, but were toast in 16M miles, which is ridiculous. Love all aspects of the Pilots to date. Well worth the very premium price.

Tires are used on 2002 (manual trans) and now 2003 (automatic) Honda CRV AWD, these tires are a very cost effective, albeit somewhat noisy, way to get winter traction in snow and slippy conditions. Moderately aggressive tread pattern, durable, softish compound still wears much better than I expected (4th winter now still in very good shape especially considering they spend almost all od their time on dry or rainy roads, the car is the primary "got to get to work car" hence snows over all season tires in our somewhat unpredictable though not usually severe winters) studdable if you need it for lots of ice traction and pretty dang inexpensive. We had a 17" snow over night not long after I got these meats and the little CR-V was a TANK, I expected wheelspin but got so much traction I "plowed" the local street as a real plow never comes and also used the trucklet with these tires to clear the gutters for the snowmelt to be able to get to the drains. I purposely tried to beach the little CR-V but the tires pulled right through both the powdery snow then the melting slop with ease. These tires rock for the price and are pretty stout and long wearing in my opinion (about 15000k miles so far and look like they have still several winters left). Do be aware of noticeable tire noise/drone though. Just add stereo and forget it...

These came original on my 2011 cruze. I put 140 mi / day almost every day. Currently down to 3/32nd tread so i am looking replace these. Dealer told me it was 180/tire. it is much cheaper here. i have had 2 holes since i bought the car one a 25,000mi and one recently. put a simple plug in and no issues. Drove threw snow and rain with out any issues. For the price these are a really good tire. Deffinatly will be buying another set soon.

Good tires for good price. They are not performance tires, not the best in cornering. Great on snow & wet road. Most surprising is that they are quieter that all season firestones I have for summer driving. I do not want to say that they are quiet but they are not noisy either. They are very good for mountain & every day driving in light & deep snow. Very good handling & steering. Over all I give them 9 from 10.

These replaced the original set of Continental 4x4 Contacts. For the price, these have been great. We use this vehicle for city commuting, pulling a 22 foot boat, pulling a 30 foot travel trailer, and going skiing about every week during the season, in the mountains near our house. They seem to have better handling and traction than the original tires ever did. I was put off by the price of Michelins and Continentals in the needed size and thought I would try these, and I'm glad I did. The original tires were at the wear bars at 28,000 miles and these look like they'll probably go about the same distance, which I would be satisfied with. They look good too, if you care about that sort of thing.

Needed to replace the OE tires on my 2011 Rav 4. The tires that came with the car the Toyo Tires were bad bad bad in snow. So checked around, If I wanted a well rated, name brand tire, they were very expensive. And no name store brand tires were cheaper but the treads were not that impressive and could not find any info on them far as ratings. So i looked again and ran into these Firestone Destination LE 2 tires here on tirerack and the ratings were good.. So I Went to a Firestone shop and got a set of 4 of the Destination LE 2 tires under $600 bucks installed! Beating the no name tires by 20 bucks! So far so good I'm very happy with the Destination LE2 tires. They just saw snow for the first time (over 6 inches plus of snow) and do very well for an all season tire. Stopping going down hill, climbing up hill and turns in snow are good. Tires hold on with very little slipping. So if you want a 60,000 mile all season tire for your SUV that can take on the snow too but not rip you off in price.... I would really consider these tires..

Replaced General Grabber HT's. They were a decent tire on the highway but that is about it. After 30k they were useless. I picked these up prior to winter and they have preformed very well so far. Great in rain and snow. Decent in mud as well. The ride quality is not the best but the price was right and the warranty is there. Tire looks good on the truck too. Looking forward to seeing how they hold up.

First of all, I ordered these on the 15th, and received them at my front door on the 16th!
Keep in mind, this was through UPS standard shipping. Completely blew my mind.
Granted, I haven't put many miles on this set, but I can say that they are a definite improvement from the stock Michelins that came on the car when we bought it new from the dealer.
Excellent traction, and extremely quiet tires.
This is my first time buying tires online, and will not be my last!
I'd strongly recommend them to anyone interested in a good quality tire at a great price point.
I shopped around town for quite some time and these exact tires ranged anywhere from 700.00-500.00, and that's without installation.
I took them to a local installation center, and for less than $50.00, they recycled my old tires, and mounted, balanced, and installed them for me.

This is the second set of these tires on the same vehicle. First set were changed after 54,000 miles and the current set I am running are at 31,000 miles. These are a good tire for the price that I would consider purchasing again. Both sets have been rotated regularly at 7,000 mile intervals.

Here is what I have noticed. Traction is very good in snow covered roads and fields however they load up in mud so I would not want to try pushing these thru a lot of mud. Your typical little bit of mud on back roads and farm field access roads they should be able to handle. Highway and wet roads they are excellent and provide a very good stable, quiet and soft ride. On both sets I have owned the ride has become noticeably stiffer around the 35,000 mile mark. My first set I changed at 54,000 miles but I think this second set will only make it to around 45,000 miles.

My only negative on these is the ride characteristic change with 35,000 miles on them. If these provided the same ride for 50,000 miles I would buy another set without question but since both sets on this truck have changed at that mileage I may look for another tire for my next set.

just got these not to long ago so i cant tell how long they last. but very quiet, smooth deep treads, nice traction when dry. we just had a snow storm in new jersey last week. i was happy with the way they handle. even in rain i have no complaints. i had the good year tire that came with the car wich were garbage, then i got michelen tires and they dry rotted craked and tread life was 50/50. those brands never agian.
firestone makes nice tires, great price. i didnt have to much to choose in the size because i am very picky about tires. I wanted a more beefy tire but with out noise or compermising the gas miles. so this tire fit in perfect.
So my final say, YES! if you have a SUV these are good! i will coment later as far mile life cause like i said i only have 4,000miles on them but the tread still looks good so far. care full when reading the reviews, cause lets say if you dont have a SUV and you want them on a sedan, then the might handle diferent as compared to an SUV. hope my info helps you!

This is my 4th set of Kumho brand tires and also the 4th different kind from this brand. In all 4 tries the tires have exceeded expectation, value and longevity. I always do the research 1st and always am comfortable with my final decision because I am as thorough as possible. While I can't make 'cost no object' decisions I try not to just make price the deciding factor. Therefore I will compare premium and value equally. I have used Bridgestone, GoodYear, Toyo, Perrelli, firestone, Falkin and many others. Some have been disappointments and some have worked out well but to be honest the Kumho's have consistently returned the best value and have been pretty consistent across all the lines I have tried.

As for the KUMHO ECSTA LX PLATINUM. I have now logged 2000 miles on almost exclusively Hi-way and all in about 3 weeks. The reason for settling on this tire was that it was being compared to the upper echelon of touring to hi performance touring tires some almost twice the price. Yet it was being scored just below or in the middle of the pack of the very best. Being that we don't really know the conditions or prejudices of the judges that score some of the subjective categories high for one and low for another I use a rule of thumb that variances of miniscule amounts qualify as not discernible or not readily noticeable to the average driver. Therefore the cost/Return rule comes into play. The Platinum was also moved to the top of the list because it had high marks in two critical areas; 1) high mileage rating 2) Quiet performance. These were critical since my last set of tires on the Genesis lasted only 30K miles and made so much noise it was ridiculous.

I have 2000 miles on these tires driving the winding roads of Appalachian mtns of GA / TN, NC,SC and the back hills and mtns, curvy roads of Rockey Mtn VA, pot holes, constructn, i85, i40, i75, i81, hard Rain, snow dusting, wind, black ice you name it, these tires been champs all the way. AAA+ VALUE.

I replaced the Contitrac's on my '08 Tundra Crewmax with the 'LE 2's' because of price and consumer ratings. The Conti's were worn out, not badly, but due for replacement. I have about 5k on the LE 2's now, and I'm still amazed at how well these tires perform! They are VERY quiet, and the difference in straight line traction, is just, well, amazing! I have the 5.7 V8 w/ 4.3:1 rearend gears, and with the conti's, I could make the tires spin on dry pavement at anything less than 30 mph, and were hopeless on wet pavement- never had them in snow- wouldn't want to either. We had 5 in. of snow a few days ago, and the LE 2's traction, even in snow, is way, WAY, more than I expected! My truck is 2WD, and the truck felt as sure-footed, or even more so, than previous 4WD vehicles I've owned in the past. Handling is as good, or better than any other tires I've had on similar vehicles in the past. The Tundra weighs about 5200 lbs. empty, and I did have to adjust tire pressure, because installers usually inflate new tires to the pressures indicated in the vehicle, and at that pressure the tires felt squidgy. The fronts are at 43psi, and rears at 40psi- huge difference! If these tires actually last to 60k miles- this will be the best light truck tires I've EVER had. Good Job Firestone!

The tire was very well priced, and tread wear is normal, but they are VERY loud. One tire blowed out on my wife as she drove on the interstate. Good in snow but would not buy any more due to the noise. I have a Jeep Wrangler with large BFG Mud terrain and are much quiter than my wifes cherokee with the winter force.

Terrific tires. Came new on the 2008 Outlook XE FWD which I purchased used in 2011. Smooth, quiet ride. Never had a problem on rainy wet roads. Usually we get a few ice or snow events here in the SC upstate. But as of purchasing my Outlook. I Havent had the opportunity to drive in snow or ice.

Summers here in SC can be very long and Temperatures in the 90's can last for months. Tires take a beating from the heat. I've never had a set of tire's that reached their life expectancy. But the Tread on these tires seems to be holding its own with over 31,000 miles on them. Should easily get another 30-40k miles.

I like them a lot. What I dont like is the Price. With prices ranging up to and well over $200 per tire. But if I can get 60-70k miles out of them. I think they'd be worth purchasing another set.

I've had three sets of Firestone Destination LE on my Expedition and each set had little to no tread left before they hit 50,000 miles. With the worsts set barely making 40k miles. As I said earlier. Summer heat wreaks havoc on tires here in the upstate.

This tire performs well in wet conditions, no concerns there. I've only managed to break traction on full acceleration in 1st or 2nd gear. I've never broke traction during corning or breaking. As far as cornering and pushing this tire from a street performance standpoint, I can only rate it as average as I don't drive my truck like a performance car. Off road is above average. Dry conditions is excellent and will get thru mild mud and go thru mild rocks without cutting sidewalls and no chunking of threads yet. Better than some of the firestone destination tires I've ran before. Does great in the snow thus far, however I expect the winter performance to degrade significantly as treadwear decreases due to the design of the tire. Rides well (considering I'm riding a ford p/u) and when new the tires were tolerable on noise. But within a few miles the noise has increased quite a bit, so much so that it is compariable with a mud tire. Threadwear has been good and I expect to get 50-60K based on experiences thus far. Overall, this is a good tire for those who need a balanced appilcation that can do highway and mild offroad, with good longivity, and for a fair price. I've had the best luck with BFG but they are very expensive now. The yoko's are a decent alternative if you're trying to save a few dollars.

My 2008 Ford Escape came with Cross Terrains. I liked them and wanted to replace with them, but not at their current price. My dealer suggested these Firestones which matched all-season specs of OE, and at the low promotional price I couldn't pass it up. I've only got 1600 miles on them and no serious rain or any winter driving yet, but I like them. They are quieter than the OE tires - always a good thing (and the OE tires were quiet). They transfer a bit more road feel than I remember in the OE tires, but I'm going to chalk that up to being new so side walls are stiff. If it continues, well...it's an SUV not a sedan - I expect that to an extent. We have yet to get significant snow in the upper midwest so I can't rate that aspect, but I seriously want to. I enjoy driving in snow, yeah maybe weird, but I'm a kid at heart and I like to see what I can do (while being safe about it). However my limitation is the all-wheel drive, which I don't feel allows me to really see what the tires can do. My previous Mazda Tribute with push button 4x4 would have been the perfect test for these, but what can you do?

So far so good and if they continue to perform as they have I would most likely purchase again.
