I 've been looking for years for the best pads to put on my truck, in doing so I've tested 9 different pads on the same vehicle including HAWK's HPS and LTS pads. After a few phone calls I managed to contact one of the HAWK brake design engineers. I was told that the LTS pad has the same maximum braking power as the HPS pads. The big difference is that the LTS pads are more less linear in their friction properties. AKA they grab harder, faster. Armed with this knowledge I purchased a set of the LTS pads for my truck. This was the HUGE improvement I've been looking for. Now the truck stops faster with far less brake effort.
