No spare tire? There are a couple options!

Continental ContiComfortKit
Within the last several years, the introduction of run-flat tires, tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) and to a large degree, cell phones have slowly decreased the importance of having a spare tire in newer vehicles. More and more, new cars are being driven off the lot without spare tires, not to mention jacks and lug wrenches. According to an article in the LA Times, nearly 13% of the one million cars sold last month in the United States, did not come with a spare tire as standard equipment. Without run-flat tires or a spare, what can be done in the event of a problem?

The Continental ContiComfortKit (which is similar to compressors that are coming with many new cars) can easily restore sufficient pressure and seal many small punctures, allowing the tire to be used on a temporary basis until a garage or tire shop is found.

In many cases, car owners have elected to purchase a full size wheel and tire to have available for longer trips or when driving in rural areas where help may be hard to find. In most cases, we can find an inexpensive wheel (either steel or aluminum alloy) and tire combination that can be used for an extended period of time that won't break the bank!

For more information, watch "How to Use the ContiComfortKit."

I would like to buy a new tire to fit on my spares rim. The original was ruined on my last flat. This is the smaller 50 mph spare.

Need least expensive (but safe) steel steel wheel and spare tire for a 2006 BMW 330i sedan. 225/45/17. Just bought it and it has regular tires but no spare. Either the doughnut or full-size would work I guess. Also do you sell any kind of kit, such as wheel, tire, jack, tools, etc?

Please let me know what you recommend and price... ASAP

Thanks!

I would like to buy a compact spare wheel and tire for a FWD (Base model) 2012 Cadillac SRX.
As I understand the models, the Base model only comes with a inflation kit...but no spare.
Please advise on wheel and tire.

Bill,
We don't have access to any compact spare wheels (just replacement tires). All we can offer is a full size (aftermarket) wheel and tire. Best bet is to call in directly for more information !

Stephanie,
Unfortuantely we do not have a record of what the Temporary spare tire size should be for your application. Please consult your owner's manual or contact the dealer for your tire size, and then we can get some prices for you. Thanks !

Looking for a spare for 2011 X3 with 18" tires considering replacing RFT

Gauthier,
Unfortunately we do not have any space saver wheel and tire package for the BMW, so short of going to your dealer for something similar, the Conti Comfort Kit is the next best thing
