235/55R19 on a Dodge Journey

Tuesday, June 26, 2012 by Zig Ziegler

Do you own a Dodge Journey R/T or Crew with the factory 19" wheels and 225/55R19 tires? If you have had to replace tires on this vehicle you know the choices in the Original Equipment size are pretty slim. The 225/55R19 is used on a very limited amount of vehicles, which means many manufacturers do not make a tire in this size. Therefore, due to the economies of scale, there isn't enough of these tires made to bring the price down to a more affordable level.

Many customers have chosen to go with the optional tire size of 235/55R19. This size provides a much wider array of choices and a more competitive price range. Customers have found this switch enabled them to pick a better overall rated tire with a lower price.

In the alternative tire size of 235/55R19, our highest rated tires are the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season and Yokohama Parada Spec-X. Both tires provide a quiet, smooth, comfortable ride with all-season capabilities.
