Initial Review, 20,000 Miles on Tires
May 24, 2014

The tires are almost three years old, so they are drying out some and really not to be pushed real hard even with adequate tread left. They have done very well over the 20,000 miles overall, still offering hydroplaning resistance and all around traction for normal and lightly spirited driving. They were real performers in the beginning feeling about the same at 150mph as 75mph, though that permormance has wained as they have aged. They do make noise on all but the nicest surfaces, varying with the poorness of said surface. I keep my pressure at the max recommended on the tire and have found the tires stable and a goood feel for my driving style. Especially great for the price. Would definately buy again. And that may not be too far away, if to just get that performance bite back.

Initial Review, 92,000 Miles on Tires
May 20, 2014

I live about 30 miles inland from St. Augustine, Florida so I spend almost every weekend in the summer in sand on the beach or in the coquina flats launching a boat and never have a found issue. I rotated my tires every oil change for the past 5 years and kept a good alignment on the front end. I've been in every hunting club and cypress swamp in our county and been up north joy riding in the snow of the mountains and never have I had an issue with my tires. BFG all terrains are all I have known and they are all I will continue to buy this is by far the best tire for any terrain including the smooth ride they offer on the highway. At 92,000 miles I still have 1/4 tread left on my tires and though they are worn they still pull just as good as the day I bought them. You definitely can't go wrong with these tires and they are more than worth the price!

These are performance run flat extremely high quality sport tires. They are on a 350HP sport car and although it is driven with care and safety in normal city and country traffic and on hard paved roads, these tires just don't wear like fifty thousand mile tires do on large less "sportily driven" slower family sedans. That being said, I wouldn't have it any other way. These tires are great at what they have been designed to do, and no matter what I ask of them, they perform flawlessly. I trust them. I just keep buying them because they suit my style of easy and sometimes spirited driving and they are run flat. My Corvette has no room for a full size spare; don't like or trust the donut. Oh, as a note, only buy my tires from Tire Rack and am totally satisfied

I bought these tires to replace OEM Goodyear Eagle LS2s. I immediatly noticed dramatic improvements in ride noise, ride quality and cornering stability. Can a tire be quieter, smoother and still outcorner its OEM predecessor? Absolutely. These tires are whisper-quiet and have a good dampening effect over rough surfaces. This is my second set: We are well into a set on my other car (a small GM SUV) and could not be more pleased with the treadwear, the noise level and the ride quality. Buy these tires. You will be highly pleased.

Far better than the OEM Goodyear Integrity; better handling, quieter, smoother ride. Very impressed by the performance in wet, slushy snow conditions-almost forgot I wasn't on winter tires any longer.

Good tire. They are a bit heavier and stickier than my last set of Falken Sincera SN-828 which hurts my MPG by a little over 1 MPG, but these tires have a lot of grip at a great price. I will have to watch for tire wear, but it is too early to tell on that. I also don't use my summer tires in the winter so I won't be able to respond to that. So far so good. Very good price for this tire. They provide a lot of grip. No noticeable road noise even with windows down. I am happy so far.

Best Tires for Chevrolet Camaro

Thursday, June 12, 2014 by Zig Ziegler

The Chevrolet Camaro is one of my favorite American muscle cars. I think the car has a nice blend of old school style and new age design. Two of the most popular packages would be the RS and SS which provide optional 20" staggered tires and wheels. The Camaro RS and SS came from the factory with 245/45R20 in the front and 275/40R20 rear Pirelli P Zero Max Performance Summer tires.

When it comes to replacing tires on the Camaro, many drivers love the summer tires and look to go back to the equivalent level of grip and treadlife when choosing a replacement set, while others don't drive as aggressively and want a tire that provides a better ride and much longer treadlife.

If you're a Camaro owner that loved how the car performed when new and are happy with the ride and treadlife of a summer tire, take a look at staying with the Original Equipment. The tire offers excellent dry road traction. If you want to try something new, consider the Continental ExtremeContact DW which provides noticeably better wet traction and lower road noise.

If you're a Camaro owner who wants the best ride and longest treadlife at the expense of some grip, or would like to occasionally drive the Camaro in light snow, the Continental ExtremeContact DWS or General G-MAX AS-03 are both great options. Each tire would offer better treadlife over the Pirelli summer tire, along with the ability to drive the Camaro in freezing temperatures and light snow.

If it's time to change the tires on your RS or SS Camaro be sure to consider what you want most from your tires and choose something that best fits your everyday driving needs. Very Good Street tire that can be driven at an autocross when air up. Does not have quite the stick of a true "street class tire" like an RS3. But should last longer. Can be alittle twitchy in a sweeper if you have to make a line correction.

Perfect tire for my Camaro. Excellent handling and traction under all road conditions I've encountered. Way better than the factory Pirelli summer tires that came on the vehicle.
