I am loking for a set of 5 tires for a 16 ft car trailer. 225/75-15, the trailer is seldom used but never the less, when needed I must be able to depend on it. Of course Im price concous and not sure wheather to buy Bias-ply or Radials, what would you suggest.
Thursday, November 4, 2010 by Chad:
We do have the Goodyear Marathon Radial available at $93 each for the load range C and also the load Range D available at $98 if you need the increased load capacity. The Goodyear is also a radial tire.

Need 4 tires for an old, infrequently used horse trailer. The old tires that are on it are H78-15. What is the equivalent this day and age? Do you have any?
Saturday, November 20, 2010 by Chad:
Nate, The modern sizing for the trailer tire would be the 225/75R15 or the 235/70R15. Either will work. The Goodyear Marathon Radial is available in the 225/75R15.

Angel, Sorry we do not have any tires with a two inch white wall. The Kumho Solus KR21 does have a white strip that is 17 mm (less than one inch). This tire is designed for vehicle use and not as a trailer tire.

I would like to change the tires on my 28 ft car trailer. I'm currently using Uniroyal larado's LT245/75R17's 121/118R on side wall. I'd like to go to one size smaller with out changing load rating(12000 gvw)
Monday, January 24, 2011 by Chad:
Sean, Sorry but we do not have any trailer tires in to fit a 17 inch wheel. A size smaller would be the 245/70R17 the 70's are 1.5 inches smaller than the 75's.

I have a boat trailer that came with 185 80 R13. The local dealer said that this size is being discontinued and is hard to find and suggested a 175 80 R13 which I purchased. I have blown many tires and need some advice. What tire and/or size would you recommend as I don't believe the 175's are appropriate. FYI, the boat load is approx 4,100 pounds.

Hi, I need four 185-65-14 tires for my Brenderup horse trailer. It is max 5000 lbs. loaded (usually 4500). I don't understand load ranges and so don't know what this equates to in tires. Any advice?
Monday, September 12, 2011 by ben@tirerack:
Hi Dawn, the most important thing is to make sure the tires carry at least 1250lbs each, in order to meet the 5000lb max weight. The passenger tires that we have in your size carry 1124-1168 lbs. per tire. A load range D would probably give you the weight rating you need, but the main thing is just to confirm the actual number of pounds.
Monday, October 17, 2011 by Jim C.:
This is a great tool - thank you!
Can you suggest a highly reliable trailer tire for my 5th wheel (either 16" or 15", 6 lug wheel, load range D or E). Also, exactly why can't I use a proper diameter light truck tire of the correct load range?
Monday, October 17, 2011 by Marshall @ Tire Rack:
Jim,
Although certain truck tires will work on your 5th wheel, trailer tires are known to help reduce side to side tracking and reduce sway. For that reason they are prefered. What size wheel is on your 5th wheel?

I have an older Knox utility trailer

I just bought a horse trailer that has three tires that are 225/70R15's and one that is a 225/75d15. Is this going to cause a problem? Do I need to replace it. It's not used very often.
Monday, April 30, 2012 by Ben@tirerack:
Mixing sizes is not recommended, nor is mixing radial with bias-ply (indicated by the R for radial and D for directional [bias] belts) -ben@tirerack.com

looking for a real good trailer tire,st225/75r15, 32 ft tag enclosed,triple axle,weighs about 10,000 loaded,runs highway about 70 mph.race car trailer
Tuesday, May 29, 2012 by ben@tirerack:
In 225/75R15 we have Goodyear or Power King trailer tires. Load range D carries just over 2500 lbs per tire, so a triple axle with 6 of those should handle 10,000 lbs. with room to spare. -ben@tirerack.com

I need a 14" trailer wheel (5 holes, 4.5" circle) to go with the Kumho 857 205/R14 (65 psi). Do you have such a wheel? Is it displayed or described on your website?

I need to upsize the wheels and tires on my pontoon boat trailer. I have 12" 5 lug now and would like to replace with 14". Do you have a wheel that will work or will I have to replace the axle and hub?
Monday, June 25, 2012 by ben@tirerack:
We have a 14x5.5 trailer wheel. The bolt pattern is 5x4.5". If your bolt pattern is 5x4.5 it would be an option. -ben@tirerack.com

Hi,
I need tires for a triple axle boat trail, total load 10,000lbs.
Need to be 14s. Are they available? Current tires, 205/75d14, do not last.
Monday, March 31, 2014 by margaret:
I have a horse trailer that has 205/65R15 99H. Do you have a similar tire? The max load is 5000 lbs.
Tuesday, April 1, 2014 by ben@tirerack:
Hi Margaret,

I do not have any with a 99H, we do have some Continentals with a 102 load index rated for 1874 lbs per tire. Those would give a little extra weight carrying capacity compared to the 99H.
