Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama Geolandar I/T G072

I have driven in terrible winter conditions all across Canada (for 20 plus years) and these tires are by far the best I have ever owned (I am talking SUV driving). From heavy wet snow to hard packed snow in -30 windy conditions, to black ice, to ice....these tires have never let me down. They have been so good, I have rarely had to resort to flipping the...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama Parada Spec-X

Excellent tire in all regards-road holding, performance on very wet roads, quiet and smoothe. In terms of steering responsiveness the Pirelli Scorpion is a little better, but the Pirelli is not as quiet and is much more expensive. The Prada is the best value for money for an SUV tire and provides shockingly good performance across a broad range of road...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama AVID Ascend (T-Speed Rated)

I have had these tires for about a year now and they have worn wonderfully thus far. The dry performance is fantastic, and wet performance is nearly as good. The only factor playing into the performance of the tire negatively would be the fact that I drive a small car. The Toyota Corolla is very light and easily manipulated by weather factors, however the...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin LTX M/S2

I was stuck in the same rut as other Toyota 4Runner Limited owners with VERY limited replacement options or change tire sizes to 275/55R20 . The OEM Yokohama Geolandars barely made 35K miles and were extremely NOISY by 25k miles- so I knew I didn't want them so I made the switch to these Michelin LTX M/S 2. I am SO glad I switched. The noise, ride and...  Read More

What to Buy When the Michelin Pilot Super Sport is Backordered

The Michelin Pilot Super Sport is an outstanding tire. It combines top-tier wet and dry traction with responsive handling, making it a benchmark in the Max Performance Summer category. Unfortunately, it has been out of stock in many sizes this summer. So what do you do if the Super Sport has an indefinite backorder in your size? It depends on why you wanted...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama Geolandar I/T G072

I have 4 of these dedicated snow tires on my '08 Subaru Tribeca whenmost of my contemporaries run All Season tires. I have a very short steep driveway and live in the southern Allegheny region of Central Pennsylvania. My driveway also has a northern exposure so it does not melt as quickly as someof my neighbors driveways do. i have great confidence in the...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama AVID S33D

Avid S33D was OE tire on our Prius. This tire has exceeded all expectations, especially longevity for an OE tire. Still have legal tread depth left and remain perfectly round after over 54,000 miles. Noise is average for a tire while not being uncomfortable, plus they have maintained good performance in rain at the limits of wear. A recent trip in Oct of...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar

I waited to drive on these for a few months before writing a review. I have loved these tires since getting them but after driving from Long Island to Burlington, VT in sleet slush and heavy snow, driving around Burlington in 6-12 inches of snow, I can confidently say THESE TIRES ROCK. I never felt slipping or sliding, even while passing in the snow covered...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Pirelli P4 Four Seasons Plus

Bought these tires forma box store two years ago to replace a set of Yokohama Avid Touring tires S (also an nice touring tire). I think the Pirellis perform better, (a little squeal on sharp fast turns) I gentle reminder that I need to ease up.These perform a lot better on turns and emergency turns. The stopping distances have slightly reduced. At almost...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama AVID ENVigor (H- or V-Speed Rated)

Originally used the AVID V4S--absolutely awesome entry level sport tire (discontinued). I switched to this tire because it was developed from the V4S. It's not as good in my opinion, but has excellent traits. The low rolling resistance technology incorporated is great for commuting, ok for track use--the sidewalls appear to be a bit soft. Still provides more...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama ADVAN A048

I have the AO48's for track tires and AD07's for the street. The LTS tires seem to have a little less grip than the M compound AO48's I had before, but look like they are wearing less quickly. Very responive and progressive on the track. May try Toyo R888 or Hoosier R6 next time if I don't buy another set of these.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama Geolandar G055

These tires replaced OE Michelins. Tire rep recommended the new Yokohama G055's. Great tire. To date no complaints, slightly more noise then the Michelins but nothing to make one dislike them. Have only seen slight skiff of snow since I have gotten them (approx 2 months). I would recommend these tires for your SUV. Will repost when have more mileage on them....  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama S.drive

I've 4800+ miles on these tires, including a road trip from Ohio to Flyin' Miata's Summer Camp in western Colorado & running around the hills of southern Ohio. Great steering response, excellent wet weather performance, good dry weather handling, though my standard here is an STi set up for Solo II on Dunlops. Short of an all-out performance tire, I'm quite...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama AVID ENVigor (W-Speed Rated)

I bought these tires for my son to put on his 2005 Mustang GT. Past tires have not provided near the mileage I had hoped for but these tires have lasted longer than any tire I have ever bought. To say my son drives this Mustang GT in a most spirited manor would be an understatement. However, these tires have met a most challenging environment and have...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S

I bought an Xterra in '06. It had bf Goodrich's on it which lasted 32,000 miles so I bought these Yokohama's and now the Xterra has 114,486 miles on it and tread is about an 1/8 deep now so I'm gonna buy my 2nd set. Can't say enough good things. We live in Idaho and it doesn't matter what the weather throws our way these tires handle it all. A must have.   Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum

Sadly, this car was lost in a recent flood, so we did not have time to really put these tires through all of their paces. Nonetheless, this Kumho set exceeded my expectations. They were far better than the highly-overrated Michelins they replaced, which rode hard and had poor grip (typical of Michelin--they came with the car when we bought it). The Kumho...  Read More

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S

BEST TIRE EVER! Seriously, I've tried many different tires from BFG, Goodyear, Interco, and the like, and no ONE tire performs better at everything than this tire.Need to walk a curb? No problem. The enhanced silica sidewall simply does not scuff. These tires stick like glue when you are at full tilt on a cloverleaf on-ramp to the interstate, but wear...  Read More
