I have only had this tire for a few weeks but I wanted to get this out there. This tire is great. It made my truck ride like an entirely different vehicle for the better! there is really no discernable tire noise and it drives and handles like a dream. I will buy these for my other SUV as soon as the OEM junk gives out.

I haven't had these tires for too awfully long, and they are do for a rotation-- however, no one could tell by looking at them. They still look great, and are wearing evenly (my truck is properly aligned). We had a harsh winter in Ohio last year, and these tires handled it well on my 2wd truck. Throw some sand in the bed and get moving... these were like winter tires compared to my Goodyear Eagles that came with the truck. They are about perfect for a 4x2 truck that doesn't see much off road action, and are nice and smooth on the highway. I have hit some potholes and haven't noticed any bubbles, or anything that has effected the tires. The only thing I've noticed is that they seem to pick up a lot of fine gravel that gets stuck in the siping. Otherwise, these are great, inexpensive tires that seem like they will last for a long time.

I spent about six months researching tires, finally chose the Destination LE2's, and they've been a great choice for the price. They're quiet and responsive on dry, wet, and mildly snowy roads. I didn't have to deal with any deep snow last winter but I don't have any reason to believe they'd be a problem. I haven't experienced any significant change in fuel milage. They handle well with an empty bed or with a cord of firewood, in the city or on the highway. Finding good road tires for a Ranger can be a challenge depending on how you use your truck, but I think most owners would be as pleased with these as I am.

Have tires on small truck. I live in the south a lot of rain, this tire is great in the rain. Not a lot of snow here but winter of 14 large storm hit many folks stranded. I was able to get home next day with many detours. I am a professional truck driver wish helped and had loaded about 600 lb. of gravel in bed. Was very impressed with the tire on packed snow very very slick . Am buying 3rd. set now, love them.

I have less than 20k on these. Read other reviews and bought them. Tread depth is 5/32 to 7/32. Sidewalls are cracking, tread area is cracking. Looks like dry rot is starting. Alot of expectations for a good purchase down the drain. Tires should be recalled. 2411 date of manufacture meaning 24th week of 2011. They are on a 2wd GMC Sierra, I haul bicycles, car parts and mulch a couple times per year, normally drive truck to work.

Great tire for a great price . Traction is not an issue even at 20k miles these tires are on a farm truck that gets used everywhere, on and off the road highway and heavy towing. I pull a fully loaded trailer weighing 18k less the truck in and out of fields seasonally and traction is never an issue . Will probably get another 10 -15k out of them before needing new one's

I have purchased these tires for my new vehicle this winter and also have them for my Sierra truck and for my daughters Hyundai car and for my sons Silverado truck. I wouldn't go a winter here in Manitoba without them. This year it hit -50 c and we had alot of ice. I wish Manitoba would make it mandatory to have these tires on and they will soon. There would be alot less accidents with them. These tires are the best as they provide less skidding, less spinning and better gas for the the winter as you don't spend all your time spinning your tires to get going. The stopping on these is incredible. You just have to watch out for the others that don't have them on as they will slide into you maybe. Great job Michelin keep up the great tire as I will get more as the years go on. ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER HERE.

I have had a long-standing policy of not purchasing Goodyear tires. I fell in love with the Duratrac and chose them over the BFG All-Terrains for my truck. Mistake. For about 1000 miles, I really liked them... then the vibration started. At about 70 MPH, the whole cab vibrates -- I mean, if you leave your shades on the dash, they'll vibrate right off. I've checked the tires for abnormal wear, even removing any rocks larger than a pebble (think pencil lead), but still, the vibration persists. Driving in the rain is okay in terms of hydroplaning, but if I am starting from a stop (backing into the driveway, for instance) and it's been raining, I actually have to put the truck in 4WD in order to avoid spinning. Absolute junk. Never again.

My car came oem equipped with 225/50/17 tires. To give my car a better 'stance', I up'd the tires size to a 55 series so the 'fender-to-tire' distance wouldn't be so large. In doing so, the Optimo727 was my pick of choice since it was a well rated cheap tire that had good wear numbers. Boy am I glad I did! The factory Michelin tires couldn't even start to compare in ride comfort to these tires. The 727s made my car actually ride like a Lincoln should. They are whisper quiet, buttery smooth on the highway, handle great on dry corners, and have a nice tread design. Even after 20k miles, these tires look new! With the way I drive, I can easily get 70k from these tires. This past January I had the opportunity to drive this car from north MS to Detroit, Michigan to the auto show. While on my trip, snowy roads plagued the entire journey. These tires performed flawlessly throughout it all. Not once did I feel uncomfortable driving at 70mph on the snow. I bet I saw 30 cars and trucks go into the median, but I felt secure with these tires. These tires have definitely made me a believer in the Hankook brand, and I look forward to purchasing another set when these wear out. I've read on here where people whine and complain about how noise gets more pronounced as these tires age... So?! Doesn't everything get a bit louder as it gets worn? If I can get 60-70k reliable well performing miles from a set of 'cheap' brand name tires, I promise I'm not gonna complain about it going "woopwoop". And I'd like to bet that the ones who DO complain about their Prius's tires getting a bit noisy with age, are probably the same kinda people who complain about how their FlipFlops give them sores when they go jogging... Ya gotta match the product to the situation it's gonna be used in! This is a soft riding luxury touring tire meant for heavier vehicles. Not a Low Rolling Resistance hybrid tire for light cars! I'll Happily slap on another set of these bad boys when the time comes. They're great!

I HAVE HAD SEVERAL SETS OF THESE TIRES AND I ALSO HAVE THEM ON MY 2006 SEQUOIA. I LOVE THESE TIRES AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.I DON'T GET OFF ROAD MUCH BUT THEY PERFORMED WELL WHEN I DID. FOR THE AGGRESSIVE TREAD THIS TIRE IS RELATIVELY QUIET. I DO A LOT OF MILES ON MY TRUCK SO I'M NOT SURE HOW MANY MILES I HAVE ON THE TIRES BUT AT LEAST 50000. I HAVE ACTUALLY HAD AT LEAST 4 SETS OF THESE TIRES PROBABLY MORE I HAVE 270000 MILES ON MY TRUCK. THEY LAST A LONG TIME. KEEP THEM INFLATED TO ABOUT 36 PSI AND WATCH HOW THEY WEAR. ADD A LITTLE PRESSURE IF THEY ARE WEARING ON THE OUTSIDE EDGE OR LESS IF THEY ARE WEARING IN THE MIDDLE. GREAT TIRE FOR THE PRICE I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. THE N/A'S LISTED ARE BECAUSE I HAVE NOT DRIVEN IN THESE CONDITIONS

PRO’s these are probably the best highway tire I have ever had. I’ve made several 600+ mile trips and am impressed with the highway manners of these tires. They are quite on all road surfaces, the wet traction is excellent (starting, stopping & turning) and these tires will go straight on the highway regardless of the crown. This past weekend we were driving in the middle of nowhere IA in a thunder storm. As we crested a hill, we spotted an accident that required emergency braking. I was looking for a bailout path however didn’t need it because these tires gripped so well, in the rain, we safely came to a stop with room to spare. These tires are slightly larger than the BFG’s that were on the truck which makes them look good. If you drive mostly on the highway or don’t mind a very firm ride, these tires should be on the top of your list.



CON’s, these tires are stiff. I drive on several streets that are more akin to a series of patches than a paved road. These tires will beat up both you and your truck. On roads that are rough you will feel every dip, bump & crack. I have aired my tires down to 34 lbs on all corners hoping to get some cushion from the bad roads. I am worried when the cold weather sets in, these tires will be too hard. If you drive in conditions where a softer or more forgiving tire are preferred, these tires should go at the bottom of your list. The BFG Rugged Trails were better on these roads.



TEST’s, installed the tires had 34.7 lbs front & 37.5 rear. I wasn't happy so I aired up to 40, it was worse it felt as if the axles were welded to the frame and my speedo was off 1.5 mph compared to my gps. I lowered the pressure down (in increments) to 35 (Ford's Recommended Pressure). Now I'm at 34.5. This gives me the best ride for both highway & city driving. This is also the pressure we had when the emergency stop was required. I’ll update after we get some snow and cold.

I upgraded my 08 Sierra with 18 inch wheels and these tires from the factory size rims and factory tires. I had a set of the Revo's (First gen) on my last truck and really liked them so I wanted to try them again. Overall I have no complaints, good ride, great traction, great wear (with rotation every 6,000 miles and air check every 3,000) The only downside I can say is between 30-40 mph there's a fair amount of tire noise. I know it's a bit agressive, it's no highway tire, its just enough to be noted here (although this truck is much quieter as a whole than my last so it makes it easier to hear noises like that... both diesels) I plan to keep running them without question and would suggest them to anyone that needs a tire thats good anywhere.

Installed on my 2007 F-150 FX2; very nice tire and best bang for the $ in an area like ours [British Columbia by the coast] where rain and snow or ice and dry weather are all unpredictable and can be encountered all during the same day of driving; even in June! Sometimes they will thump for the 1st km or so but are fine when they warm up.
I went over the Coquihala Pass in a January snow storm and passed several vehicles with snow tires that were stuck [not that the
Spec-X are a winter tire but I was happily surprised]. They tracked well [excellently!] through icy ruts even though the 275/55s are wider than most other vehicle tires on the road [so like they were a tad wider than the ruts]. 200 lbs of sand in the back of the empty truck box keeps them working in snow & icy conditions.
In the rain [and we get lots here]; they are superb; no kidding; you'd think you were on dry pavement; hit a big puddle at 120 km/hr and they haven't ever hydroplaned yet.
Cornering: I think the truck would roll over before they would lose traction; I had to learn that the Spec-Xs were better than my vehicle & its suspension and my driving capabilities.
Noise: they are on a truck not a Lincoln Town Car; what can one expect? Having said that: they do not differ with the original tires.
I have a reprogramming chip [and some other mods] and set the maximum vehicle speed to 120 m/hr; I am happily here to report the Spec-X's just cruise along and track well at high speeds; again tire performance & quality exceeds the vehicle's aerodynamics.
Would have liked to see 60K out of them but they have worked well and lasted twice as long as the original Pirelli's our F-150 came with.
I am looking for another set soon; will likely buy the 305/50R20s instead of the 275/55R20s I now have.
Compared to other tires; the Spec-X out rotates other tires in traction, wear and comfort in all settings and I'd agree with that rating.

I drive mostly on highway and country roads. We fish on beaches In Riverhead NY, and Cupsogue Bch, NY. The Wrangler tires performed excellent. I did not have to air down. I drive on farm land during the hunting seasons on an upstate farm - tires performed well and needed 4WD only on muddy or snowy situations. I got a bug to replace the Wranglers with "regular road" tires for highway, I went to Michelin. My thinking was I do little miles on the beach and farm, and we don't get many heavy snow storms on Long Island so I went for the Mich. all season tire. Bad idea. The Mich. do OK on the Northfork stony beach but on the fine sand Cupsogue Ocean beach I can bog down in the sand - soup-like spots. With the Wranglers I mushed through the very soft spots. With the Mich. I bog down to dead slow just going nice and slow until the sand gets a little "stiffer". I never had to air down with the Wranglers. If I air downed with the Mich, it would be better but I am getting lazy. The Mich. on the slightest mud are terrible on the farm. The slightest amount of mud, the threads fill and the truck slips terribly. Sometimes I have to go to 4WD low. In snow (farm) the Mich. are barely acceptable, if I didn't have 4WD I would get stuck for sure. O.K., I understand the Wrangler and Mich. have different tread designs. I didn't think the travel in sand, a little bit of mud or a little snow on the farm would bring my truck to a stop. I knew I would pay a price for the all season highway tread, I didn't know how big of a price. It was a bad move on my part. The Mich are a very good highway tires but not a combination (the all season) tire no matter how few miles I travel on the sand and farm to meet my needs. When I have to retire the truck I'm going back to the Wranglers. (Comment, over the past 50 years of driving on beaches and farms in all kinds of 4WD from Jeeps to pickups, the 4runner is my favorite, it is a billy goat that never breaks down.)

I am a transporter and today I am at the Firestone store having another set of Transforce A/T's installed on my truck. In the past 6 months I put 70,000 miles on the tires and they never once let me down with excellent traction in all weather conditions. I pull a 20ft trailer usually loaded with 7,000 lbs on it and they work great - quiet and smooth ride, safe and secure feeling when driving in snow/ice conditions. It is a great relief to not have to worry about rain, snow, ice and sand when driving is my job across the lower 48 states.

Purchased four of these tires for an old 1995 Subaru Impreza L AWD daily driver. My main concerns for new tires was superior snow/ice handling, acceptable/above average wet handling, and above average dry traction with a great tread-life while keeping prices low. After I did extensive research and comparison charts I purchased the Firestone Precision Touring tires right as winter was in full force.

*In the snow/ice, the tires handle extremely well. I was driving around plow trucks with ease and mated with the AWD, was truly unstoppable this winter. Once the snow hit a few inches, the tires still gripped and when they did give way to sliding, were extremely predictable, allowing me to counter-steer with ease.
*Wet handling is acceptable, though not the greatest, but is not a reason to dismiss the tire, as it is still very predictable in those hazards.
*Dry traction and responsiveness are perfect with the only downside to cornering stability, which I believe is the weakest point of the tires. It can feel as if the tire would give way or takes a second to find the road when cornering. Despite this harsh review; it is actually on par with other tires for dry cornering in this price range.
*As to tread-wear, I cannot speak as to the performance of the category since I have not had the tires long enough.
*The comfort level is great. The tires take harsh bumps without any real complaints; in fact, I believe that I could have potentially bent a rim in lieu of popping a tire, of course due to the enormous potholes that plagued PA and DE (the Northeast Snow Belt area) this winter.
*Price - $77.00 a tire, which didn't break the bank for an old car but was well worth it.

Overall, I was looking for some affordable tires that would give me the best points of all-season tires, with increased winter time performance. The Firestone's came through and I will definitely purchase again, pending the outcome of the tread-wear. I would highly recommend them.
