Have 10,000 miles on these tires and they have been great. Had the LE2's on my last truck and they were great on the highway and around town, but believe it or not these ride much nicer on the highway and have a more quiet ride. I have not driven through snow yet, but have driven in some nasty rain storms where there were several inches of standing water on the roadways and these tires stuck to the road even through deep, muddy holes. On the highway they are responsive and smooth. Great tire. If they wear well and hold up through the winter I will definitely buy them again.

I had a set of Michelin LTX A/T2 tires on my truck for 50000 miles before they needed replacement. These Firestone Destination AT's have only 35000 miles on them, and I will be replacing them before the snow flies this year. The Firestone tires were highly rated and were $20/tire cheaper, so I went with a set. They never performed as good as the Michelins. I have had to use 4 wheel drive to climb up a hill on a highway that was covered in about 2" of snow because the truck kept breaking loose. I was even passed by a Kia going up that hill, talk about embarrassing. Now it has started to hydroplane in medium rain storms, even though I have approximately 1/2 of the tread left.
I will be going back to the Michelins later this year.

I love these tyres, mud tyres that can do anything and tuff as nails as well. These tyres have been fitted to my daily driver work truck for 3 years now. So weekdays I drive the stop start of the city traffic carring a reasonable load as a tradesperson. On the weekends we go 4x4ing and often run them at 22psi over all sorts of terrain. On holidays to list just two, have driven a GVM 3.5T truck through 2 deserts for 3 weeks at a time on 15psi. Gone cross country with them, have run over tree stumps, sticks, base ball size rocks at 50m/h, smashed them on corrugated roads for hour upon hour. Cut them badly from incorrect pressures on gibber stone and shale, hours upon hours of black top high speed at gvm, and occasionally had to give me everything they have for emergency braking; and never had a puncture or failing of any sort. I would say I still have 10,000 mile left in them with decent usable off road tread, or an easy 15 500 on the black top. They are getting a noisier the balder they become, but I think all muds are the same. I have them balanced every rotation at 6000 mile and use the 4psi rule with them. A big thumbs up from me.

I bought these three years ago along with a new set of rims. Shipping from Tirerack was great, and I loved that they came inflated, on the rims. I just slapped them on the car. They handled well, I always felt like they performed great. They are now producing a wumpwumpwump sound at medium speeds, so I'm thinking about replacing them. They still have 3/32" tread, which might not be enough for a Minnesota winter (depending on which kind we get this coming year). I wish I had gotten 60000 miles like some people did. Our driving is probably 1/3 city and 2/3 highway, as 2 of the 3 years we lived out away from heavy traffic. I was initially concerned a little that these were specific tires for Camaros, but when I bought them they had such an awesome price that I couldn't pass them up. Now the price is double what I paid for the first set. Of course I wish I could get the same price again, but I doubt that's going to happen anytime soon. They also look really nice with the rims I got with them. But any other tire is going to have to be a lot cheaper, or have just awesome ratings in order for me to switch to another model. I will say that because these are wider than stock, I was a bit nervous when I was pulling a pop-up camper and the tires were so close to the fender. That duty is now delegated to our pickup truck so that's no longer a concern. Buying both rims and tires from TireRack is so convenient, I wish I could afford to do that every time.

Have tires on small truck. I live in the south a lot of rain, this tire is great in the rain. Not a lot of snow here but winter of 14 large storm hit many folks stranded. I was able to get home next day with many detours. I am a professional truck driver wish helped and had loaded about 600 lb. of gravel in bed. Was very impressed with the tire on packed snow very very slick . Am buying 3rd. set now, love them.

I have less than 20k on these. Read other reviews and bought them. Tread depth is 5/32 to 7/32. Sidewalls are cracking, tread area is cracking. Looks like dry rot is starting. Alot of expectations for a good purchase down the drain. Tires should be recalled. 2411 date of manufacture meaning 24th week of 2011. They are on a 2wd GMC Sierra, I haul bicycles, car parts and mulch a couple times per year, normally drive truck to work.

Great tire for a great price . Traction is not an issue even at 20k miles these tires are on a farm truck that gets used everywhere, on and off the road highway and heavy towing. I pull a fully loaded trailer weighing 18k less the truck in and out of fields seasonally and traction is never an issue . Will probably get another 10 -15k out of them before needing new one's

I have purchased these tires for my new vehicle this winter and also have them for my Sierra truck and for my daughters Hyundai car and for my sons Silverado truck. I wouldn't go a winter here in Manitoba without them. This year it hit -50 c and we had alot of ice. I wish Manitoba would make it mandatory to have these tires on and they will soon. There would be alot less accidents with them. These tires are the best as they provide less skidding, less spinning and better gas for the the winter as you don't spend all your time spinning your tires to get going. The stopping on these is incredible. You just have to watch out for the others that don't have them on as they will slide into you maybe. Great job Michelin keep up the great tire as I will get more as the years go on. ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER HERE.

I have had a long-standing policy of not purchasing Goodyear tires. I fell in love with the Duratrac and chose them over the BFG All-Terrains for my truck. Mistake. For about 1000 miles, I really liked them... then the vibration started. At about 70 MPH, the whole cab vibrates -- I mean, if you leave your shades on the dash, they'll vibrate right off. I've checked the tires for abnormal wear, even removing any rocks larger than a pebble (think pencil lead), but still, the vibration persists. Driving in the rain is okay in terms of hydroplaning, but if I am starting from a stop (backing into the driveway, for instance) and it's been raining, I actually have to put the truck in 4WD in order to avoid spinning. Absolute junk. Never again.

My car came oem equipped with 225/50/17 tires. To give my car a better 'stance', I up'd the tires size to a 55 series so the 'fender-to-tire' distance wouldn't be so large. In doing so, the Optimo727 was my pick of choice since it was a well rated cheap tire that had good wear numbers. Boy am I glad I did! The factory Michelin tires couldn't even start to compare in ride comfort to these tires. The 727s made my car actually ride like a Lincoln should. They are whisper quiet, buttery smooth on the highway, handle great on dry corners, and have a nice tread design. Even after 20k miles, these tires look new! With the way I drive, I can easily get 70k from these tires. This past January I had the opportunity to drive this car from north MS to Detroit, Michigan to the auto show. While on my trip, snowy roads plagued the entire journey. These tires performed flawlessly throughout it all. Not once did I feel uncomfortable driving at 70mph on the snow. I bet I saw 30 cars and trucks go into the median, but I felt secure with these tires. These tires have definitely made me a believer in the Hankook brand, and I look forward to purchasing another set when these wear out. I've read on here where people whine and complain about how noise gets more pronounced as these tires age... So?! Doesn't everything get a bit louder as it gets worn? If I can get 60-70k reliable well performing miles from a set of 'cheap' brand name tires, I promise I'm not gonna complain about it going "woopwoop". And I'd like to bet that the ones who DO complain about their Prius's tires getting a bit noisy with age, are probably the same kinda people who complain about how their FlipFlops give them sores when they go jogging... Ya gotta match the product to the situation it's gonna be used in! This is a soft riding luxury touring tire meant for heavier vehicles. Not a Low Rolling Resistance hybrid tire for light cars! I'll Happily slap on another set of these bad boys when the time comes. They're great!

PRO’s these are probably the best highway tire I have ever had. I’ve made several 600+ mile trips and am impressed with the highway manners of these tires. They are quite on all road surfaces, the wet traction is excellent (starting, stopping & turning) and these tires will go straight on the highway regardless of the crown. This past weekend we were driving in the middle of nowhere IA in a thunder storm. As we crested a hill, we spotted an accident that required emergency braking. I was looking for a bailout path however didn’t need it because these tires gripped so well, in the rain, we safely came to a stop with room to spare. These tires are slightly larger than the BFG’s that were on the truck which makes them look good. If you drive mostly on the highway or don’t mind a very firm ride, these tires should be on the top of your list.



CON’s, these tires are stiff. I drive on several streets that are more akin to a series of patches than a paved road. These tires will beat up both you and your truck. On roads that are rough you will feel every dip, bump & crack. I have aired my tires down to 34 lbs on all corners hoping to get some cushion from the bad roads. I am worried when the cold weather sets in, these tires will be too hard. If you drive in conditions where a softer or more forgiving tire are preferred, these tires should go at the bottom of your list. The BFG Rugged Trails were better on these roads.



TEST’s, installed the tires had 34.7 lbs front & 37.5 rear. I wasn't happy so I aired up to 40, it was worse it felt as if the axles were welded to the frame and my speedo was off 1.5 mph compared to my gps. I lowered the pressure down (in increments) to 35 (Ford's Recommended Pressure). Now I'm at 34.5. This gives me the best ride for both highway & city driving. This is also the pressure we had when the emergency stop was required. I’ll update after we get some snow and cold.
