We have had these tires on our 2008 Prius for about a year. They replaced the Goodyear Integrity tires that came with the car. Some observations, they are a bit stiffer in ride than the Goodyears but they also seem to handle better (turn in, cornering). They have good grip and stopping performance for this type of tire. The fuel economy is about the same as with the OE Goodyears. You can hear them if you try, but the average noise level is very mild. After 10k miles they show almost no wear, so I'm betting they will make good on their mileage claims (or get close to it). They have held up well to the abuse of our pothole stricken roads and took an impressively small amount of weight to balance. We haven't driven them in the snow so we can't comment on that. Overall I'd say they are a good match for a Prius.

This is strictly a comfort tire, and does not strike a suitable balance between comfort and performance. The tires are extremely comfortable and quiet, providing a luxurious experience for passengers. For the driver, it is a different experience. If you are in touch with your car's performance, you will notice that they 'squish' or flex a lot during turns, numbing the response through the steering wheel. If you value steering feedback, this is not the tire for you.

These tires do fairly well in snow and rain, but still have a numb feeling that makes you second-guess when control matters most. I recommend Pirelli's P7 instead.

Purchased for all season wet use. Very easy break-in with multiple rebalances as tires settled in. Tires hold balancing quite well, however.
Biggest complaint is the poor ride quality- tried various tire pressures from 35PSI to 43PSI (OE spec is 36psi to 49PSI). Went with 35 series instead of 30's but can only surmise it helped any. Wanted the higher load index (100) to hopefully prevent flat spotting- no such luck. Takes a couple miles to "warm" up. The RE962's were even worse (different size).
The Audi is heavy and powerful (4260lbs; 515hp/500tq) and generally naws thru tires rather quickly, especially on the front. The 275 width on 9.5" wheels doesn't seem to have helped much, if at all, since the circumfrential grooves just get bigger, reducing the foot print. Had Michelin Pilot's (old) that bubbled, so got the B-stones. Immediately noticed the stearing vagueness, but hoped once the tires wore down a bit, steering response would return. No such luck. Alignment is perfect, done at a european race shop.
The dry limit seems a bit low to me, even when setting the car up long as possible to load the tires. Transient response is numb and a bit mushy (even at higher PSI), but are consisently predictable, at least it's safe.
These tires are rated 2nd on TR, but would say it's a d-i-s-t-a-n-t 2nd place. Overall, I should have anted up for the Michelins, or Conti's if I wanted to "save". Friend of mine has the same car with the new Michelin Pilot Sports-- loves them.
-----Even called B-stone, but there's no tread warranty and customer service was impersonal with people seemingly flipping pages to figure out the answer. I'm a serious car "guy" and expect and hope someone on the other end can hold a reasonable technical dialogue and know basic info off the cuff. Think I'd rather deal with the French for serious performance tires. The S-04's are a good choice for someone that has low-ish high performance aspirations. 3rd and last set of B-stones....

Okay, I am not into the rogue specifics of tires as I am not a mechanic nor car expert, just a commuting, high-mileage, everyday driver. I purchased these as a part of a closeout deal and the Turanzas I wanted were not in stock. Before purchasing, I read reviews online and found more good comments than bad - I simply should've listened. I drive an everage of 45k miles annually; therefore, I get considerable use out of my tires. These tires are extremely and uncomfortably loud (I did not recognize what a loud tire was until I had these). I am not impressed with their performance on wet roads and definitely not in the snow. I've had them for about 8 months and they are already cupping and showing signs of uneven wear. My car shimmies when braking from high speed. I was told I needed new struts (although they are not leaking), but I believe it is these horrible tires contributing to their own wear. They have been rotated at least 3 times since purchase. I see now why they were discontinued..Pure garbage! Now I have to purchase new tires and these will barely be a year old.

Huge difference in ride, noise level, responsiveness,over the OEM Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02 Standard Touring All-Season tires that came with my 2012 Subaru Legacy. My work commute of 18 miles covers city,(5mi)Interstate I-95,(8mi) winding country back roads(5mi)
These tires are rated for 70k, i`ll dance in the streets if i get 45-50k.
So far with only 1800 miles on my car (got it with 14 miles last month) combined driving 24.7-26.1Mpg Hwy 29.03Mpg @70-73speed
The VR rated Conti tire vs the HR rated Conti tire gets better wet traction according to a leading consumer magazine and its only 2.00 more!! per tire
The only negative: the set of tires the store got were made in Mexico not USA as i thought they would of been.

I drive my SUV pretty hard (pretty much drive it like a AWD car) and these tires are so good, I have nothing to really say about them. They do everything as expected with no surprises. Traction in both wet and dry have been very good. Better than I expected for such a high UTQG rated tire. I haven't had a chance to drive in snow yet but hopefully that will happen soon and I'll update my review to add that. I would DEFINITELY recommend these for "city slicker" SUV's.

These tires were installed less than 1 month ago, so I can't testify to their longevity. However, I am very impressed so far with their performance. Since installing, the car has been driven regularly in rain/snow/ice weather conditions. These tires provide excellent traction and handling on side roads as well as the interstate. For driving in wet/winter weather, I recommend these tires. As for treadwear and longevity...only time will tell. Stay tuned!

This tire is awesome in the snow. Several times in empty parking lots with packed snow I have punched it and the traction control never kicked in. The car just moved. So far we have had over 30 inches of snow here in Denver, and they have been great!



The dry traction is a bit less than desired. I drive my car spirited and these tires are just awful in the dry. On a twisty, dry road, they feel unsettled and nervous. I have had the back end step out a couple of times. Understand they are not performance tires, but they don't loss it in a controlled fashion.



For a pure snow tire, these are perfect and would highly recommend them. If you want more of a performance snow, I would not recommend these.

I put these on my car last January to replace a set of factory defective Conti's. Did so based on the reviews and that they were only like $93/ea. I noticed right away my car handled better, and the shake was gone (bad Conti's). I didn't notice any difference in noise or fuel economy. Cornering was a little better. I rated the tires on all level at an 8-9 minus winter conditions. Last winter seemed ok, better than the COnti's but after putting some use on tires now they are not a very good winter tire, they provide limited stopping and accelerating traction, and less than average side to side stability. The other half of the year is awesome though, great traction on dry and wet, never had an issue with hydroplaning.

As far as treadwear, the dealer marked one tire at 8/32, 2 of them at 7 and one at 6. if accurate on the 6/32, I would expect about 42k of usable life, if accurate on the 7/32 I would expect 57k, on a 55k tire for a spirited driver, I would say acceptable.

Excellent tire for street performance cars. It is a quiet tire with a smooth ride yet handles as well as many track tires. The break-away is predictable and forgiving. It isn't a drag radial but provides great straight line traction for a supercharged car with 612 horsepower to the tires. No complaints in any areas and definitely would buy again.

Boy O Boy this is a great tire! Just Replaced some worn out Yokohama Geolanders and my Element is a totally different car. On tread design alone, I'd not try these in the snow, as my experience with uni-directional tires is that they don't perform in snow. To me, the M+S designation means the rubber compound stays pliable and resistant to cracking in cold temps (whereas summer tires don't do well below 40 deg. Farenheit) and would stay pliable and soft enough to deal with cold, rainy weather (the worst kind of rain is cold rain, as the tire hardens). These tires are razor sharp when it comes to handling, and given the good tread wear, it's about as good as it gets for a balance of very high performance and tread life, which still be usable in cold weather (not snow).

For aggressive drivers, or ones that hit tracks now and then and can dance a car on the limit, these will suffice, but in NO WAY are they the kind of summer tire you would really want if you wanted a sole-purpose tire designed to be glued to the road and be completely surprise free at cornering limits. But then again, this tire will last, and be usable in the cold weather.

This set replaced a set of RE01R's. I drive them very aggressively in the east Tenn/NC mountains. Incredible traction off the line and in the corners. Have been caught out in deluges without problem. After sitting for a while they do need a few miles to even out. I've pretty much worn them down to slicks after 5000 miles but I expect that with my driving style with these tires. I am ordering another set. I do have a set of more "reasonable " all season tires for daily/off season driving. My car is supercharged with moderate suspension upgrades.

This is a phenomenal tire. It combines excellent grip and handling with decent ride quality. They are very quiet, especially for low profile tires. These tires replaced the Bridgestone RE050a Runflat tires that originally came with my car. They are much better than the RE050a tires in every way. They last about as long as you'd expect a high performance summer tire to last. I am on my second set of s04s - I like them that much! Highly recommended.

I bought these as a replacement for the used 1996 Miata, I bought on ebay in 2008
(installed at 122,000 and currently 155,000 [2014] - expecting another 15,000 miles). Very happy, great in the wet and never caught in snow, but I don'yt drive it in snow deeper than 6 inches. I don't race in the rain, but I feel confortable doing 65 on the Turnpike. Going to get another set if the car lasts that long !!

The Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tire is much better than the Potenza RE92A OE tire, and worthy of an early switch. The difference is night and day. I have a 2013 Subaru Legacy that I really like, but over the course of 32,000 miles I grew accustomed to feeling a rigid almost jolting ride as well as all the road imperfections Texas has to offer. The vehicle has now been transformed. I noticed an immediate improvement in braking, highway performance, steering response, quietness, acceleration, and even driving over speed bumps. My mileage also went up by about 1 MPG, and every little bit helps. I currently have almost 3,000 miles on the set and highly recommend. They seem to be wearing exceptionally well. I chose these over the Michelins due to other customer ratings, and the overall cost/value. I will also say that the car can easily accommodate a larger size if you want to fill up the wheel wells and gain a little more ground clearance; I opted for the 235/50R17. As grand touring all season tires they have nice curb appeal as well -dressing up the vehicle.

Just had these mounted last week so very few miles; I have a bit of vibration over 60--nothing terrible--but the car definitely needs an alignment before I can say too much.
Overall I am pleased. I was concerned about poor steering response more than anything based on a few reviews, but with mostly highway driving, I think these tires are the ticket:
Quiet
Supple ride
Few steering inputs required to keep it straight
Very good wet weather performance
Good dry traction
Good steering response

I'll add further reviews as the miles build; to this point I'd day this is the tire perfect for my driving needs.

Do I have to Put Run-Flat Tires on My BMW?

When it comes to tires for a BMW, many aren't pleased with the harsh ride and short treadlife of the Original Equipment run-flat tires. However, many owners are unsure if they're able to make the switch to a standard tire. The answer is not as difficult as you might think.

BMWs can make the switch to non-run-flat tires, the same is true when switching to dedicated winter tires. It's important to note that in most cases, the vehicle did not come with a spare tire. If you decide to make the switch to non-run-flat tires, a road hazard would leave you stranded on the side of the road without a spare to put on the car.

A solution to this issue is to purchase the Continental ContiComfortKit. The kit is capable of comfortably sealing typical tire punctures, making it possible for you to complete the drive home, to work or to a tire repair facility. It combines a powerful, high-volume, 12-volt air compressor, integral pressure gauge and a latex liquid tire sealant packaged in a compact, lightweight unit that's easy to store in a vehicle.

Another option worth considering is buying a full-size matching spare tire and wheel. Going this route essentially creates a set of five tires that will last longer than just four. The spare should be integrated into the vehicle's tire rotation from the beginning, as this will wear out the spare tire before it becomes too old.

The choice to switch to non-run-flat tires boils down to your comfort level. If having a tire failure and being on the side of the road until roadside service arrives or changing a spare on a busy highway are things you could never cope with, then staying with run-flats is probably best for you. If you're confident changing a spare tire in only a matter of minutes or waiting for roadside service is not a big deal, then you may be someone who could easily make the switch to a non-run-flat tire.

I have over 220,000 miles on my Golf and have had Goodyear Eagle LS, BF Goodrich Traction TA (twice) and a Kuhmo tire (don't remember which one) and this Yokahama is BY FAR the best tire I've ever had on this car!
I cannot believe the traction it has in not only the wet, but the snow is really good. It feels like a full-blown snow tire to me.
Dry traction and handling is much better than any of the other tires I've had on the car. The sidewall doesn't roll-over during hard cornering (sorry, I'm a licensed SCCA driver so all of my cars go around corners quickly LOL).
Noise is hard to say, it's a 2000 VW Golf so it's not the quietest car to start with. Noise from the tires doesn't seem too bad at all.
All I can say is, this tire is night and day different than any of the other tires I've tried. You really should try them.
