Got these tires 225/50R17 for '98 Accord V6 LX sedan (291K miles) on an exchange as recommendation . The Primacy MXV4 had a left radial pull and needed front axle balancing about once a week. After Dealer did aligned the vehicle 8 times and balanced the tires 11 times, replaced every worn out front-end suspension part. I have tried every major tire on this car, pulls to the left, unable to maintain balance, noisy or worn out too quickly, I was ready to give up. I later learned this last set of tires were defective.
I highly recommend these tire for most Asian imports. With less than 100 miles mostly freeway, the care doesn't pull left. Tires are very quiet. Have not had rain or snow to evaluate handling during wet driving. Dry roads the vehicle handles great, like new again. Base on the mileage, ride comfort and handling, I give these tires a 9.5 score.

I bought these off a recommendation from fellow BMWCCA members as well as the other Tire Rack reviews. Let me start off by saying that these made it a completely different car! I'd had the Bridgestone RE050A Pole Positions on my stock 19" wheels, and combining those with my Hawk Blue brake pads at the track, I was constantly outbraking my tires. Now that I've changed to square sizes, as well as switched to the Michelin, I'm getting faster lap times, and finding a lot more grip into the corners. I've got one track weekend and about 2500 miles on these so far, and I'm super impressed!

OK for all you people who bought this tire for track or autocross, THIS IS NOT A TIRE DESIGNED FOR THAT SO YOUR REVIEW IS MUTE AND POINTLESS! Now on to a real review. This tire at first was noisey, however after about 200 miles its very very quiet. This is the most comfortable tire I have ever owned. Driving a sports car with very aggressive driving I can say that I am truely amazed by this tire. I know its early for a review. But not as early as some people only having driven 500 miles on a tire. Thats not time enough to really write a review people. I have taken this car on the twisties of the mountians here in Southern Califonia and I have to say it never breaks loose even when trying to push the tires past their limit. As I stated above its not a track tire, but putting it through the aggressvie driving I do with AWD punishing them. Even when they get hot they dont lose grip. I know someone on here said they get greasy but that was on a track. On the highways and back roads this tire is the one you want. They help with fuel economy as well with their minimal rolling resistance. They even beat some Ultimate Summer Tires. The OEM tires were Dunlops and these tires beat them in all catagories. I have no rain reviews because it hasent rained here and I wish they would let me give a dirt review because these tires held up very well on the sand and dirt this past weekend when I did a lot of time attack runs on the salt flats. If you have an AWD car like the Evo or STI then this is the summer tire you want.

BLUF: I think these tires are awesome. The OEM Continental Sport Contact 3s got a flat; and also were wearing a little weird too at around 20k. So I told the wife since I was deployed to get them replaced with these (new for 2013) Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3s. Since I was away from home I had her send me some pics of them mounted and I was happy with how they looked. She said that she couldn't tell a difference from the Summer Tire Contis. I got home in February and took the S4 for a spirited drive and was extremely satisfied. Tire rack stated these were as close to a summer tire as an all-season could hope to be and they were right. Clearly not as sticky as summers but I'm not tracking or auto-crossing anyway so it didn't matter to me. The ride is great, handles great, and they have been quiet so far. I'm hoping the 500 Tread wear rating holds firm as I'd like to get more than 20k from a tire on this car. I plan on rotating every 5k, front to back and I will update a the 20k mark.

Switched from Goodyear Eagle LS tires, never going back. These tires are by far superior in handling, treadwear and overall performance. I then put some on my Daughters car, what an improvement. Don't waste your money on any other tires. You get what you pay for. These may cost a little more but perform and last MUCH more than others.

I purchased this tire after I ruined a set of Dunlops by mistake. I used to be a dedicated Bridgestone before buying the Dunlop just to save a few dollars. Bad mistake. Anyways onto the review of this tire. Simply put, best Bridgestone tire I have ever owned. This tire is listed as a summer tire but I have used them in snow and had no trouble at all. It performed just as good as my all season tires I have owned. The dry and wet grip is outstanding. I have yet to make these tires squeal going around a high speed corner. As for the wet grip it is just like the dry grip, only way you can tell you are driving on wet asphalt is if its still raining. As with all tires there is going to be tire noise but for me the level of noise is almost non existent. I can't say too much about ride comfort with these being low profile tires but I can say they are better than my previous tires were. I can say for sure that as long as I have this car and Bridgestone makes this tire it will be my tire I buy when I need tires. I would recommend this tire for anyone with a spirited driving attitude and even if you live in the snow belt like I do, it's simple, if there is snow on the road slow down and these tires will do just fine for you. After I get more miles on them I will do a follow up review but as of right now I don't see anything changing about how I feel about these tires. Like I said earlier best tires I have ever owned, period.

Believe it or not I drive my 911 year round. The factory Dunlop tires performed well in the dry, decently in the rain, but wear very quickly and were quite noisy. I had the Michelins installed on an aftermarket set of forged wheels lighter than stock. Right away the noise level was drastically reduced. Also, I could get the Dunlop tires to break away if I tried, the Michelins stick like glue. Handling confidence is up there with an r compound street/track tire. The sidewalls are stiff, but quite frankly I'd prefer that with low profile tires. The ride isn't busy by any means, but you can feel the stiffness of the tires over larger road imperfections. Knowing that my expensive wheels are protected improves driving confidence rather than a softer ride. I run dedicated winter tires on the stock wheels during the colder months, and while they ride much better the 'grip threshold is much lower as to be expected. Running tires without the Porsche "N" designation doesn't worry me in this case as I trust the Michelin brand. I have run Michelin tires on other vehicles with equally great results. The price/performance/wear expectancy of these tires made them an easy choice. I haven't driven enough to gauge wear, but the factory rear Dunlops lasted about 18 months and 7,500 miles before needing replacement. While this is understandable given the performance envelope the car is capable of, the noise level alone turned me off to getting another set. The front tires seem to last twice as long, but for a few bucks more I got a whole set of Michelins as opposed to just replacing the factory rear rubber. If the rear tires last 15,000 miles I will definitely be sticking with them.

I autocross (but not in this car) so I am on the extreme end of spirited driving.

The Ecopias have great performance on dry and wet pavement and feel more like a performance summer tire. The sidewalls are extremely stiff so steering responsiveness and cornering stability is guaranteed. The con to the stiff sidewalls is that the tires are pretty noisy and can be bumpy if you drive a lot on poor roads. It iced over for a day last year and the tires did a little less than OK. The Ecopias had about 40% tread left when they were used in the icy conditions.

Traction in wet and dry conditions have stayed fairly constant throughout the tires life. I have about 1/16" to the wear bars now and the tires are just now starting to hydroplane in moderately wet conditions. These are the most consistent tires I have ever owned.

I was hoping to get 40,000 miles out of the tires, but I will be lucky to get 35,000 miles. A normal driver will be able to get much more mileage, but I think it would be tough to get the rated mileage out of them.

The tires feel the best with 35-37 psi cold and did have a 1.5 mpg average increase over my last set of tires (Dunlop Direzza Star Specs). These tires have pleasantly surprised me.

These came oem on my mercedes. I have read bad reviews however so far these have been great tires. I can't rotate them due to difference size wheels front and rear. Tires are quiet and tread wear has been great thus far. No need to rebalance them or get an alignment yet. Very happy since the day I bought the car last July.

I bought these Conti race tires for the first time to replace the Micheline PS2s on my 2011 GT3. My typical street able track tire has been RA1s or R888s from Toyo, but I was looking for something quieter. Long story, but I wound up cording my PS2s at the track and being forced to get R888s, so I have a perfect day 1 comparison of R888 vs these Contis. R888s grip well but have massive "tread squirm" under braking and cornering that makes it feel like the car is going to oversteer. Very disconcerting! They also sound line a helicopter on the highway.
Day 1 on the Contis and, amazingly NO tread squirm. The car felt terrific in turn in, mid-corner, on exit, and under braking. I broke 2 min for the first time at Thunderhill. They sound like a normal street tire on the highway (maybe a touch louder) and ride better than R888s. I even ran into some rain on the way home and they gripped great and evacuated the water fine(although there was no standing water). So after 1 day on the track I cannot say enough good stuff about them.
On the back roads they are also perfect. They are so grippy, yet tail out slides are easy to do.
Overall best street able track tire I have had!

I have less than 20k on these. Read other reviews and bought them. Tread depth is 5/32 to 7/32. Sidewalls are cracking, tread area is cracking. Looks like dry rot is starting. Alot of expectations for a good purchase down the drain. Tires should be recalled. 2411 date of manufacture meaning 24th week of 2011. They are on a 2wd GMC Sierra, I haul bicycles, car parts and mulch a couple times per year, normally drive truck to work.

I have these on my supercharged and coilover'd '94 Miata that is strictly a nice-weather car, thus why I can't rate wet characteristics. I have had Potenza RE750s and the set before buying the ZIIs were Potenza RE-11s. The RE-11s were way above the RE750s, and I wore the RE-11s clear down to the rears being completely smooth and looking like go-cart tires... I don't put many miles on this car and those tires lasted 5 years, and due to lack of a garage at the time, they were subjected to very low temps, so the compound was not the best - I decided to destroy them at a local drift event to give me a reason to buy new tires.

That said, I mainly use my Miata as a driver but also I do a lot of very spirited backroading, tarmac rally stages, if you will. I was going to just throw another set of RE-11s on it, but a few friends that autocross suggested I take a look at the ZIIs. After reading reviews, I chose them. Got them from TireRack within 24 hours of ordering!

Now that they're worn in a bit, I'll say, THESE TIRES ARE GREAT! The grip... all the grip. Taking clover-leaf exit ramps with only scrubbing off a few MPH is fantastic! On the backroads, they do work and instill confidence. Very predictable tire. Ride quality is great, very smooth. There is a bit of a howl from these, not sure if it'll worsen or get better as my Miata has some camber from being lowered... but at the end of the day, it's a sports car, sacrifices have to be made. These do feel a bit squishy at times compared to the RE-11s, and I miss the RE-11s appearance - those are much wider tires and the sidewall with a 205/50 on a 6" wide wheel looked awesome... the ZIIs look like a 'normal' tire in comparison, but this also explains the ride quality improvement over bumps.

I'd definitely buy these again. I'm going to take care of these as far as temperature goes and I expect many years out of them. -MazKid

These are OEM tires on my 2009 Infiniti G37x. They are driven in spring/summer/fall and never in the snow. I put 37,000 miles on them.

The Dunlop is an average tire with good road holding (dry/wet)on the highways. However it creates fairly loud noise on road joints. During the last year the car jarred on ruts and became very sensitive on the steering (pulling to the sides especially on braking). The wear on these tires is quite acceptable. I replaced them because of the handling issues and age (5 years).

The Dunlop is more expensive and not cost effective. I put on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3 which I have yet to test.

I bought these to replace my General GMAX AS-03. The first thing I want to say is that you get what you pay for with these tires. They are not cheap, but don't let that scare you. I didn't think it was possible for a tire to be this sticky while providing almost touring levels of noise and comfort. Compared to the General tires that I had, these are whisper quiet and have tons more grip. Their feedback is also very nice. You can hear them chirp a little as you approach maybe 80% of their capability and you can just keep going even harder. They're extremely predictable. It's obscene the speed at which you can hit interstate clover-type interchanges with these tires, and you can do it with confidence. Honestly, the limit of these is so far beyond my Generals that I haven't even reached it on the road, which is probably a good thing.

Wet handling is impressive. The treads pump away all the water in their path and let you drive in the wet with confidence that you can still stop faster and maneuver better than any other car around you. They give you that extra margin of safety of 10-15ft shorter stopping distance compared to other all-seasons. That's enough to easily save you from a fender bender. These are not a license to drive fast in the wet, it just makes your normal drive that much easier and safer.

I haven't had the opportunity to use these in the snow, but I'm not concerned. No AS tire is really viable in real snow. As far as I have read, these Michelins are to be considered a 3 season tire in the North and all-season without snow in the South. I can't get away with a summer tire year round since the temps drop well below freezing for months at a time, but I can't justify the cost of keeping two sets of tires. It also almost never snows here so snow tires are not an option. If you live south of Atlanta or Birmingham, I'd say you might be able to get away with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. People in Florida and SoCal, should definitely be picking that tire.

What is there to say, those tires have been through everything from extreme heat conditions to cold sleet snow and I have yet to have a problem out of the tires! They truly HELD UP! If you take the time to take care of your these tires, you'll get the most bang for your buck, in my opinion. Even the guy replacing my tires said they were remarkable, of course he didn't recommend that I go that many miles again on the same tires. The grid in the tires were just about gone, so It was DEFINITELY TIME to replace. Also, add, that I've had to get a plug on the same tire twice around 67,000 miles. I'm strict when it comes to servicing my car, meaning every 5,000 I rotated the tires and did everything else around that to ensure my tires would last. This is one tire I can recommend for off-road because I carry heavy equipment on the occasion and well as a mud ride every once in a while.The highway and city is where most of my days w/ my vehicle tires were spent! As I type, I'm at a tire place getting another set put on! RECOMMENDING This tire to anyone looking for a great long-lasting tire.

I was recommended these tires by a employee of tire rack (customer service). Wear way too fast for an aggressive driver. I enjoyed the comfort of them completely, had minimal road noise. Seems that the tread is soft rubber compared to other competitors. I enjoyed them while they lasted but not for me again.I didn't really get to drive them during the winter months, but wet traction is not all they hype it to be. I drive a Volvo XC90 which is a heavy vehicle and I can still feel loss of traction during light rain. Hope this review you has helped. Car lovers :)

I had this tire's predecessor on my 05' Evo MR and currently on my Eclipse GSX and on those two vehicles, these tires have performed very well! This new iteration performs very well as well on my BMW. They handle so well. But my other two cars are not what I would call quiet riding cars. So tire noise was not very noticeable. But on my BMW 335Xi M-Pkg., the tire noise is very noticeable. Since I do not use this car at the track, they may be overkill for street use, but I'd buy these tires again when I replace my track car tires.

Buy this tire. Nuff said. I had the OEM Pirelli P zeron Nero's, then the Bridgestone RE970's, and then these. 110K on my car now. These are my favorites for sure; don't understand why they are less than the 970's, because I think they're better, but I love it. Just placed an order for another set now that mine are down to 3/32nds. Some of the grippiest in wet/dry I've had, as well as the absolute quietest tires I've ever had.

These tires are amazing, I bought these to replace to stock all season pirelli zero which where pretty bad, before that I had the conti dws on my bmw, and they where very good, but nothing compared to the michelins, I live in vegas so no need to worryabout snow but i wanted something with a very high tread life and good grip, im apr tuned stage 2 and sometime traction control would flash threw 3rd gear on the pirellis, and anytime i take a corner somewhat aggressively the back end would slide out, and driving with out traction control was horrible, couldnt go anywhere, these michelin tires are completely opposite, my car rids much smoother, back end is much more composed, hardly any wheel spin in 2nd gear, and now i love to drive with traction control off, especially in the summer here in vegas, once these tires heat up, they're very impressive for a all season tire, cant imagine what a extreme summer tire would be like. I would definitely buy these tires again
