replaced factory firestones for hydroplaning issues, still had good thread, with loaded trailer at 39,000 miles. now have 52,000 on revos . This truck lives it life with trailer attached, cargo trailer up to 8,000 lb camper, bumper hitch.
I don't do much mud, a little back yard farming at best, but for the most part, 90%
highway use. 2 are in better shape than others, wheel spin from take offs sometimes
wet or dry, up hill turning angles with loaded trailer is cause, no fault of the tires. I am getting new set of revo"s tomorrow. I really struggled with my selection this time, few really good looking designs on the market today, the bf goodrich rugged trail was my 2nd choice, but I have never put 52,000 miles on any tire I have ever owned, & when these were new, I said I"D never buy anything but a bridgstone, They made my truck
ride & handle car like, now it is time to keep my word These have been great & you have to remember, any tire will loose its greatness as it gets wore out.

Initial Review, 74,000 Miles on Tires
October 14, 2012

These tires were OEM for my 2010 Ford F150. They were remarkably quiet, smooth and finally were ready for replacement at 74,000 miles. If not for a misalignment, I likely could have gone to 80,000. Unbelievalbe. When it came time to replace the tires last month, I chose BF Goodrich radial long trail T/A's based mainly on price but decent reviews as well. I am pleased with the ride quality, noise, and other dynamics of the BF Goodrich tires, noticing very little difference between them and the Michelin's. However, the money I saved on the purchase of the BF Goodrich's over the Michelin's will be negated by additional fuel costs; With the Michelin's, I consistently recorded an average 18.8 mpg on my F150 based on the computer read-out on the dash. After installing the BF Goodrich radial long-trail T/A's, I immediately began averaging 17.6 mpg with no other changes to the vehicle or driving conditions. Perhaps greater rolling resistance? Initially the 1.2 mpg drop appeared insignificant, but after doing some math, I was shocked. I average around 30,000 miles a year and at the current pump rate of $3.65 per gallon, I will spend over $400.00 a year more in fuel with the BF Goodrich tires. So much for saving a couple hundred bucks on the purchase. I'm sure the potential of higher fuel economy had something to do with Ford supplying the Michelin's as OEM tires. Next time I'll buy the Michelin's.

Initial Review, 100 Miles on Tires
October 12, 2012

After researching for months and months, I had narrowed my tire choices down to two. The Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor and the BF Goodrich All Terrain K/O. The Goodyear's were a lot better priced than the BFG's and I really liked the sidewall design. However, I had heard from friends/co-workers that the Goodyear's balance out and ride nicely for the first 5,000 miles or so and then become very shaky and noisy from there on out. Although I know not to expect a perfectly quiet ride from aggressive treaded tires, I have a hard time tolerating excessive road noise and imbalance from a set of very, very expensive tires. So, I started looking into the BFG's more closely. I LOVE the fat, white letter walls...always have. I had a set of these on my '95 Cherokee and really enjoyed them. Although at the time, the Goodyear's were $150 cheaper, I decided to go with the BFG's. Boy am I glad about my decision! My 2009 Ford Ranger FX4 originally came with P255/70/R16 tires, but I wanted to upgrade to a larger tire to fill the wheel wells. I decided to go with a LT 265/75/R16. I mounted and balanced them at the car dealership where I work. They all balanced out with less than 2.00 oz of weight. After putting them on the truck for the first time, I couldn't help but grin. They look absolutely stunning. The truck sits higher, and has a very aggressive stance. Even though it's a LT tire, the truck rides only a slight bit rougher, but still very tolerable. The road noise is nearly non-existent, only a slight (almost peaceful haha) hum from the fresh rubber. I am very satisfied with my purchase and plan to keep writing reviews throughout the life of the tire. I hope to get many miles out of these tires! I hope this helps any of you who are thinking about getting a set of these....Do it!!!

Super tires. After 16,000 miles they show little if any wear. Sonoma County in CA has some pretty bad roads so tires can take a beating, no problems with this tire. Traction on wicked mountain curves is great. By far a better tire than the B.F Goodrich that were on vehicle prior to Kumhos. Highly recommend this performance tire.

Initial Review, 9,000 Miles on Tires

As the summer is coming to an end, it gives me a chance to reflect back on the days spent with the BF Goodrich G-Force Sport C2's. I had plenty of dry weather during my introduction to a tire which excelled in the heat of summer. Acceleration, cornering, and braking were all strengthened with the installation of the C2. This tire has excellent turn-in response which brought a great deal of agility back to an aging car. The aggressive handling by no means detracts from the ride comfort of the tire. One will find themselves quite relaxed on a long stretch of highway, but as soon as the tight turns of your favorite back road hits the front bumper ... that merciless grin on your face soon appears while the tread becomes alive with excitement and eager for the challenges ahead.

Bring on the rain! Finally, a chance to drive this BFG C2 on wet pavement to see if the tire is just as appealing as the dry evaluation. This tire had more fun in the rain than my 4 year old in a water balloon fight. The C2's powered through the heaviest of rains with no hint of hydroplaning. The tire was confident in standing water offering a sense of protection for myself and the family. It also provided a great deal of corner stability on the wet pavement even in rapid transitions with no detection of understeer.

The best attribute is still be be reported. Treadwear: Being boastful about treadwear in a summer performance tire is the equivalent to bragging about photos you have taken of Bigfoot! Nobody in there right mind is going to believe you. However, I am quite impressed by the durability of the C2's tread compound. After a entire summer of spirited driving, there is consistent tread wear even at the outer shoulder. I am very confident that more summers (yes - that's plural) are yet to come with this tire, and will certainly look forward to every mile.

Initial Review, 400 Miles on Tires
September 30, 2012

We really haven't got enough mileage on these tires to make a definitive call on it yet. Our previous tires were BF Goodrich Long Trail Tours. OEMs were Dunlop AT-20s.

Let me say the Dunlops were horrible. The 4Runner weaved all over the road. It really felt unstable at highway speeds. In the rain, it had fair traction. It was miserable in the snow. I have to say that I really felt they were unsafe and had them replaced at 13K miles.

The next set of tires were the Long Trail Tours. They had excellent traction on dry roads, wet roads, snow, and sand. We never felt like we were not in control. But at about 15K, one of the tires developed a pull to the left. Not sure why. But when rotated to the rear, steering was fine. Up front, it pulled. It also got a bit noisy at 20K but it wasn't bad...especially after the Dunlops.

We replaced them with these Michelins. Let me say that we are completely stunned at how much better these tires are. The 4Runner is extremely quiet now and tracks like it never has before. The ride is much smoother too. The wife asked me why we didn't get these tires right off the bat. I told her quite honestly that it was the price. I didn't think they were worth it at the time but I do now.

Now we haven't taken them thru snow yet but fall is here and I'll update later. But for now, we are very impressed!

I installed these tires on my 1965 289 Mustang along with a new set of American Racing Torq Thrust chrome wheels. I have 225 45 ZR 17s on the front on 17x7 wheels and 235 45 ZR 17s on the rear on 17x8 wheels. What a huge difference over the 15x7 wheels and off-brand tires on the car before! The biggest difference I see is in the turn-in rate. These tires really turn quickly. The car also stops more quickly. And the ride is fantastic for a 17" tire. They are not harsh at all over bumps and on a recent 100-mile round trip where we drove on a 4-lane US highway, they rode so smoothly.
In addition to all of that, the price on these tires is very appealing. They also have a great sidewall appearance and tread appearance. And this may or may not matter to some of you but these tires take Armor All (and other such products) very well. They are as shiny as any tires I have ever seen. That is of great importance to me.
I have had BF Goodrich tires for many years and believe their quality is unbeatable for the price. They are especially well known for their high-performance image and that is a big reason I chose this tire for my Mustang. I like Michelin tires a lot and have them on my Cadillac and my wife's Kia but Michelin does not seem to fit the high-performance mold I desire in a tire for the Mustang.
So I would highly recommend these tires. I have a 2004 Corvette which still has its original tires but when and if I do have to replace them, I will DEFINITELY install the BF Goodrich g-Force Sport Comp 2 tires. You can't beat them on a high-performance car.
Thank you for reading this review.

I purchased 4 of these tires for my 2003 jeep liberty renegade and for the price they can't be beat. The factory Goodyears were shot after only 25000 miles. I then tried BF Goodrich all terrein Ta's and while they wore pretty good the road noise was terrible. The Firestone Destination AT delivers the best of both worlds. Living in Northeast Pa a good winter tire is a must and these performed better in snow that the Goodyear or BFG. While they may lack the agressive look of the All Terrein TA don't let that fool you. The treads don't pack up with mud like they did. A good all around tire.

Very soft mushy ride no matter what tire pressure. Experimented from 30 psi to 44 psi. These tires just plain ----ed in any snow condition. I had many small leaks throughout the last 3 years from the smallest road debris like glass particles. Even the sidewalls were peeling for no reason. I think this rubber compund is way too soft. Even chuncks of the treads are missing. I have always used BF Goodrich longtrails or BF Goodrich AT/KO's in the past on my other trucks so I'm never buying another Michelin tire again (I guess I can't really say that though-they own BF GoodRich-hopefully they don't bring that tire quality down too)

September 19, 2012

I purchased these tires to replace a set of tires I installed on my car 18 months ago (BF Goodrich Advantage TA). The Goodrich tires are the "worst" tires I have ever driven on (and I've been driving cars for over 30 years). They only had 13,000 miles on them at the time I replaced them, but they were "so bad" in the wet that I could not take the risk any longer. They would hydroplane routinely and break looses in the wet all the time (whether coming off a light or entering/exiting a turn(. It just came down to the fact that I found them to be unsafe. I thought this background would be helpful as I choose the Continental DWS after extensive research looking for a better wet handling tire. While I only have 500 miles on the tires so far, I can say that the difference between the two is "night and day". The Conti's are actually hard to break loose in the wet - even if I floor the car. I am so pleased with these that they will be on the top of my list when I need to replace tires on the other cars in my household. Very impressive wet traction and very good in dry as well.

My ML was a trade-in at my dealership and had a new set of General Grabbers which lasted about 24k miles and were really noisy. I switched to Kumhos after reviewing many tires and couldn't be more pleased. They have worn very evenly - tire edges have an even amount of tread and everytime I check the tires to see if they need replacement, I'm amazed that they keep looking the same. Best tire I've ever had including Bridgestones, Generals, Michellin and BF Goodrich.

I take this car through hills everyday to work and it hugs the road. Their is little to no tire chirp when coming across the intersections. Tons of grip. These tires are very quite as well. Much quitter on the highway. I only had these for 2 months. I will write another review to update the tire life.

Nowing that a c5 corvette came with runflat tires, and had read many reviews about the car with OE tires , I didn't expect much from those tires. I was not dissappointed. They may be accetable to those folks who drive on smooth roads but those are few and far between in the good old USA. If you are not concerned with "Ultimate Handling and High Speed capability plus Fat Tire appearance I can suggest something that will make a c5 Corvette a vehicle that you will enjoy if your driving is city and highway type. I installed Pilot HX MXM4 235/50/17 on the front and 245/45/18 on the rear. The difference is night and day. No more darting. The ride is, well lets just say it's 500% better and their is no more " tire noise " to have to listen to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although these tires do not have the speed rating of the OE tires, they are more than sufficient for city and highway use. If your needs are for high performance then the OE or better tires are for you. If you want a c5 Corvette for city or highway use that is quiet and comfortable the Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 is the tire for you. When looking for a good ride, stay away from tires that have sidewall inserts. Their purpose is to stiffen the sidewall for better handling but ride quality is "SEVERLY REDUCED". Your best option if you want performance and good ride is to have two(2) sets of tires. That is the ONLY WAY to have your CAKE AND EAT IT TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not tried other tires to check and see though. Have driven a truck like mine but 4x4 stock, but with bf goodrich tires and the ride is 100xs better than my truck, could be 4x4 suspension is more heavy duty, I dont know though. Also, pulling a 23' malibu ski boat out of a semi steep boat ramp, the tires would not grip well and spin. I havent been in snow or ice and in rain traction is not great, but is good. The price is great and wear isn't terrible for the price!

Not bad tires ... but the sidewalls are so squishy! Having stiffer sidewalls would possibly cut down on the windshear on something this big. Also, am now getting vibration at higher speeds 65+. Will be changing to BF Goodrich Long Trails or Bridgestone Duelers. Might pay more, but I expect more out of SUV tires for something this heavy. Not bad tires, I reiterate! I just replaced my factory BF Goodrich tires which only lasted 3 years. They were terrible in all kinds of weather and I really should have replaced them after 1 year. I am not a tire "expert" nor do I have a true sports car (but the Z rating is recommended) and after hours of research I chose the Continental Extreme Contact DWS (ASR). I cannot believe the difference driving and I am so impressed with them as I had to drive through a torrential rain storm for about 1 hour and I could feel the traction grab the road and never worried about hydroplaning. AFter installing them with one tire company, I then had them aligned with my regular Toyota dealership so I have no issues with alignment or noise. In fact, the ride is smooth, quiet & I feel very confident with my choice. As I just installed them (July 2012) I actually can't wait to try them on snow & ice so I will update my review then.
