So far so good on the wifey's Murano. Did pretty well in the rain and is considerable less noisy than the previous set of Pirellis (probably because the tires are so new still). Have not really monitored the claimed MPG increase as there's a lot of factors that contribute to it. The ride is firm but not floaty and is responsive.

These tires are amazing. We took the factory Michelin's off because we had a bad tire and installed these. They now have 70,000 miles on them with 5/32's left. The tires have worn great, they are quiet, and they ride much better than the Michelin's ever did. When these wear out we will own buy the Serenity Plus.

This is a very nice tire. I use a performance winter tire for 5 months each year so this tire is on my car about 60% of the year. It has lasted 3 seasons now and comfortably has another season remaining judging by the remaining tread depth. It is quiet and grippy at 7 tenths driving. I have full confidence in this tire at any speed and feel it is great value for the price as well as offering performance that exceeds my requirements. Is there a better tire out there for extremely aggressive driving? Well, maybe but you will likely pay more and experience quicker tread wear and less comfort. For most BMW owners this tire will not disappoint. M3 owners who need to tear up every piece of road they find themselves on? They are a fussy type of driver who might find something to complain about. This is a very under-rated tire and I would recommend it to anyone.

I have an AWD Acura RDX and both my wife and I drive it. I drive more aggressively then her and both of us are very pleased with these Pirellis. I will say I bought these mostly because of positive reviews by Tirerack and consumers. I have not had positive experiences with Pirellis in past but these after 4000 miles are great. In both dry and wet the tires inspire confidence. We had the Bridgestone Duelers on prior and these are MUCH quieter and better all around.

These tires are absolutely amazing. I took a trip to the Tail of the Dragon and had them mounted the same day I was to leave. They saw temperatures ranging from 32F in high elevations to 69F in the low lands during the first day. They did great in cold temperatures where I expected them to be stiff and unresponsive. I even drove on light sleet on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Cherokee, NC! Quiet on the highway and comfortable over rough roads and expansion joints. Unmatched turn-in response and feel in the dry. Now back in FL I've been daily driving them and have driven through rain heavy enough where it was decided best to pull over due to visibility, although the tires never slipped. Even now above 90F temps they have never felt greasy or lost their composure. Excellent tire.

I have these on a Rear Wheel Drive V8 Caddy and I could not be happier. I live in NE Ohio, so snow is not an uncommon occurrence, and dedicated snow tires make all the difference in the world.

Keep in mind, these are snow tires, so don’t put them on too early or leave them on too long. Know that even ½ throttle will over power them if you have a real motor and corners should be taken with a little more care than with the summer shoes.

Noise is no issue, it is winter – your windows should be up anyway – and if noise is a problem, it’s not the fault of the tire - you just need a Cadillac. I
I would definitely buy these again, and this is a much better solution than buying an AWD car with their lower MPG and heavier handling.

Went from the OEM 225/45/18 Hankook Optimo H431 on OEM 18x8 to 245/35/19 Michelin PSS on 19x8.5 wheels. I'm very ocd when it comes to proper air pressure. I use nitrogen and run 38psi, 3psi over oem to optimize for proper load rating. Even though I drive a 4-door sedan, I drive it spirited! The PSSs in my honest opinion is an incredible tire in all aspects. I use to race BMWs and Mazdas in SCCA and know a little about racing. Hence, this tire has great turn-in and allows for sustained control cornering with little push. The variable contact patch seems to just bite the harder I engage cornering and handles the car's weight transfer during cornering, maximizing lateral grip. Wet weather handling is great, however our rainy season has yet to hit us down here in central Florida. In the rain that we have had the tire does very well in both handling, hydroplaning, and breaking. I've driven on Goodyear's F1, Bridgestone's S04, and Conti's Contact DW & DWS. Looking forward to updating this review after I put some mileage on the tires. Stay tuned!

Replaced Continental's that only lasted 40,000 miles. Ride and handling much improved. Noticed roughly 2 mpg improvement which is the main reason I did the research and purchased tires. Great stabililty even on this very heavy crossover. Price much better than comparable Michelin's. Gas savings will more than pay for tires.

April 14, 2013

My car came with Bridgestone EL400s, which were complete garbage. When it was time to take my winter tires off, I decided I didn't want to put the factory tires back on. After a lot of research, I decided on the P7 All Season Plus even though there wasn't much for reviews as of March 2013. These are night and day compared to the Turanzas. The Turanzas were frightening in rain and were still mildly scary even in dry. The P7 ASP tires are the exact opposite of the Turanzas, meaning that they're actually good tires that don't scare me while on my journeys in the car. Since I only have about 400 miles I have no idea what the actual treadlife will be, but so far I like them. They are also a lot less noisy than the factory tires. If I remember, I'll update my review in about a year but so far so good.

For traction, braking, and cornering, it is hard to do any better. They make my Honda Accord handle like NASCAR. The downside to these tires is that they tend to cup or chop, whatever you want to call it. The result is very uneven wear and shorter tire life. I am replacing these with a different tire at 31,000 miles due to this issue. I thought it was my car, but after a lot of alignment and strut work, it did the same thing to this second set of tires. When the uneven wear sets in, the road noise becomes deafening.

Contrary to many reviews I would rate this tire as above average for OEM options. I have 23,000 miles on the tires and 10/32 of tread remaining. I did have my tires siped at a local tire store and that has provided good to great winter service during a very snowy season in Northern Michigan. The noise level appears typical for a 'v' rated tire and this carries over to the ride quality. I have not found a 'V' rated tire that has a very smooth or quiet ride quality. The trade off is a very positive handling characteristic. I would consider this tire for a replacement option if the cost were about $100 less each. My choice for a replacement will give serious consideration to an 'H' rated option to smooth out at quiet the ride quality.

Initial review:

So far, I am very pleased with these tires. They are comfortable and quiet. I am still within the break-in period, so I have not had a chance to test any other aspects of the tires. They do seem less responsive than my previous Bridgestone Potenzas (which were almost completely bald) but that could be due to tread squirm on the new tires. I would definitely recommend these tires for any passenger car, but haven't tested their performance capabilities yet, so I don't know if I would recommend them for sports cars.

I have a 1998 Mustang Cobra with 280 HP at the rear wheels. I had a set of BFgoodrich g-force sports in 245/45/17 and would spin through 1st and 2nd gear and slide in most hard corners. To be fair, I impacted weight transfer with an Eibach kit that included lowering springs, sway bars etc.(Love the kit) and then I added caster/camber plates and set camber for cornering. That said, the 255/40/17 Potenza RE-11 is a dream come true. Better ride, no wheel spin, no slide in corners. If tread wear isn't a concern (no wear claim or warranty.)Then this is the only tire to consider. I went from years of un certain launches and corners to feeling like a pro behind the wheel. This is the only street tire I will purchase.

I use these as winter tires on my WRX. For an all season they are pretty grippy and work well in cold temps. However, they are fairly soft in the corners and do not provide the steering response of a summer tire. I do recommend these for winter tire use in light snow areas. They still retain the majority of the cars sporting characteristics.

This tire is fairly heavy at 28 pounds which can I can feel during acceleration.

I replaced my Bridgestone Turanza Serenity tires with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. I am very impressed with how quiet the ride is (I can faintly hear the engine at highway speed now), and the ride is smoother than the Bridgestones too. What impressed me most about the tires is the snow traction. This is not a car made to perform in the snow. My wife and small child got home from the airport in a snowstorm recently with no trouble and I was very happy to have chosen these tires, which were better in the snow than the Bridgestones ever were. I have a steep lip on my driveway, and it is difficult without 4WD in the snow - I was very surprised that the Continentals had no problem getting the car into the driveway that night.

The only negative I can say is that maybe they seem to drift a little bit more than the previous set I had on at highway speeds, but well worth it for the above improvements. I have only had them a couple months, so cannot speak to the durability yet, but at this price and performance vs. the Michelins I was considering, I would be ok to replace at 40k instead of 50k.
