Huge improvement over the stock bridgestones, the tire is visually larger than stock. The initial acceleration bite in snowy conditions really amaze me considering it isn't a snow tire. Alot smoother ride. I have over 40k on these and looking like I can get another 40k from them. The only thing I didn't care for is that they seem slightly delayed to abrupt steering imput compared to the OE bridgestones.

Performance is good but the thread design confuses/concerns me. They go and make a directional design but it's not directional... The solid bar on the tire is not on the outside to enhance cornering grip, the grooves are turning the wrong way etc.

Traction is great in dry and especially wet conditions. Made the steering easier. Much better than previous Toyos and Michellins on the car at different times. No sign of wear yet.

My wife and daughter believed I put shocks on their car because of the varying texture consistency of the ride! Highly recommended to any who rides on highways for extended periods. Fuel economy was enhanced by two miles per gallon. Go for the purchase and save valuable time by going to purchase this product.

Best Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season Tires in Size 275/55R20

Wednesday, July 23, 2014 by Gary Stanley

On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tires are common for those looking for aggressive tread patterns and some off-road traction. However, many drivers aren't looking for off-road traction and instead drive mostly on the street. These drivers would rather have a tire with a smoother and quieter ride with longer wear. This is what makes tires in the Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season category so appealing to them. The best two options in this category for tire size 275/55R20 are the Continental CrossContact LX20 with EcoPlus Technology and Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza.

If winter traction isn't a priority for you based on the area you live in, I'd suggest the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza for its smooth, quiet ride and outstanding wet traction. Are you going to experience winter conditions while on the road? Are you concerned about snow traction? You don't have to sacrifice much in the way of snow traction when you purchase the Continental CrossContact LX20 with EcoPlus Technology. It provides very good snow traction for an all-season tire, even better than some all-terrain tires.

The CrossContact LX20 with EcoPlus Technology is currently ranked first in our tire survey results. It has the highest ratings in the following areas compared to other options in the Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season category:

  • Hydroplaning resistance
  • Wet traction
  • Light snow traction
  • Ride comfort

I am now on my second set of these tires on my 2005 WRX wagon. Unfortunately I hit a big pothole with my first set and one of them was damaged so I had to replace them prematurely. They were at 7/16ths tread depth and I was on my third summer season with that first set. I just had a new set installed today. I didn't think twice about buying these tires again.

These are my summer tires in Colorado, and I commute over 50 miles per day. I absolutely love these tires. To sum them up, they are comfortable and quiet on my daily commute, but when I go for spirited drives they provide all the performance I need. Sure they're not track tires, but they are grippy and responsive, and they communicate their limit well. For me they are the perfect summer tire for a commuter who likes to have fun driving without worrying about their tires. And I've never had any issues in the rain either. I highly recommend them!
