Winter Tires and Wheels

Saturday, September 4, 2010 by Brandon Lorenc
This is the season when most of us in the midwestern and northern states need to start thinking about winter tires and wheels for our cars. On my Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X, I use the Bridgestone Blizzak WS60. This tire falls in the Studless Ice and Snow category -- the category that generally contains tires with the best snow and ice traction but the worst dry road handling. We get some pretty tough winters here in South Bend, Indiana and I want to have the best possible snow and ice traction. This tire is being replaced by a newer version, the Bridgestone Blizzak WS70. Even though I have AWD and even though I have a high performance vehicle, I still like to have the best possible snow and ice traction I can get.
