Honda S2000 Performance Tires

There are a number of tires that will work on the Honda S2000 but the three or four best that I have seen are the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11, Dunlop Direzza Star Spec , Yokohama Advan Neova and the Kumho Ecsta XS . All of these tires are going to give you excellent performance on the street and can be driven in an autocross or on the track. They are suited for someone that is a very aggressive driver that really wants the best performance for his or her car.

The tire that I would have to rank as the overall best would be the RE11. In testing they held up the best and offered the best wet traction.

If you are looking for the extremes you cannot go wrong with any of these for the S2K. Great for the street or track.

Jim, I have a S2000 that needs tires. I don't need track tires but good handling and wet condition, normal type driving tires. any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

The tires in the blog are regular street tires that can be driven on the track. If you want a little better wet traction and tread life you can look at a tire like the Michelin Pilot Super Sport or the Bridgestone S04 Pole Position. These two are more rounded all around handling tires but will give a little less performance.

Hey Jim! I'm looking to replace my front two tires on my s2k but I'm not looking to spend a fortune. What do you recommend for the budget minded individual? I was hoping for 200-250 shipped. I'm looking for tires that are all purpose as the s2k is my daily driver! Thanks!

I have an '06 S2K. With 52,000 miles on the original tires on her, I NEED new tires. I don't race, but do have my share of "driving awards" a.k.a. tickets, for I am an aggressive driver with two lead feet. I live in FL and do want a tire that is good in rain as we get more that a fair share. I want a quality tire that will ride well, has good traction in rain and sand. Don't really care about cost.

The best in the sizes for the car is the new Bridgestone S04 Pole Position. They are excellent in the wet and dry and would work great on the S2K.
