A Winter / SnowWinter/Snow Tire & Wheel Package Tire & Wheel Package is the best way to maximize your Subaru's capabilities in the snow and on the ice. In preparation for winter, we are often able to find inexpensive steel wheels for use in these packages.

We have recently received 16" steel wheels designed for late model Subarus. They will fit most Forester, Impreza, Outback and Legacy models of recent years. The exceptions are models with larger brakes, which may need 17" or bigger wheels to clear. Shop for Winter / Snow Tire & Wheel Packages by vehicle to see if these wheels are a match for your car.

Priced at $56* these black steel wheels represent an excellent value for customers looking to make the most of their Subarus' AWD capability with a winter package. Combined with a good set of snow tires, these can be your ticket to confident, enjoyable and safe winter driving.

Read "Understanding the Tire Performance Categories for Winter / Snow Tires" to help choose the right winter tire for your driving style.

What is the exact diameter of the bore? I have seen some aftermarket suppose to be hubcentric wheels with some plays when fitted on an axle, even 1 to 2 milimeter lager bore gave some play. I just want to make sure it will b an exact fit like oe steelies before i place an order. Thx.
Thursday, January 10, 2013 by ben@tirerack:
Jason, the centerbore is 56mm.
Friday, January 11, 2013 by Jason:
Thank you for the reply Ben. 2 more question please. First, Subaru list their OEM wheel centerbore size as 56.1mm. Now, is 0.1mm difference going to give me a problem fitting? Second, OEM offset is 48mm, yours is 50mm. Is 2mm difference gonna be a problem? I think the differences are so small to case any fitting issues but I am not an expert like you guys :) Well one more question while I am at it. Have you actually fitted the wheel on a recent Subarus? Thanks alot and that would be all.
Friday, January 11, 2013 by ben@tirerack:
You are welcome Jason. Yes we have put them on many recent Subarus. For every car that we list them as available, we do confirm correct fitment specific to that vehicle. The 2mm difference in offset is negligible in most cases, and the .01 difference in nominal diameter has not posed any issue for installation.

Can I use the 16 inch rim on 2008 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport Wagon? If so, what size tire would need to be installed on the 16 inch rim to match the total diameter of the P205/50 R17 already installed

Hi Marc, to view the options available for your vehicle click the 'vehicle' link in the post above.

hi, i have tires size 235/45/17 for winter time and im wondering if you have anything rims or steely for that size?
Thursday, November 7, 2013 by Ed:
Why are there no more 16 inch wheels for Subaru Forester? I would like to use 16s for the winter instead of the 18s on the car now.
Thursday, November 7, 2013 by ben@tirerack:
Ed, if you are referring to the 2014 Forester, 17" is the smallest that can fit on it. We have not found any 16" to clear the brakes and fit correctly.

Sunday, February 23, 2014 by Joe:
Will the OEM Subaru hubcaps fit on the 16" steel wheels? I have a 2011 Outback Limited with 17" alloy rims and TPMS.

What tire/steel rim combo would you recommend for winter on a 12 Forester Premium running 225 55 17 stock?
Blending traction anx longevity.
Thanks.
