Always check your tire size

Friday, July 16, 2010 by Ben Rooney
While our database has an extensive list of Original Equipment tire fitments, the possibility of special option packages, dealer wheel swaps and changes by a previous owner (if you are not the first owner) mean that we cannot be 100% sure that the size the computer says is on your car is what you actually have installed on the car.

It only takes a minute when you are entering or exiting the car to check what tire size is currently installed. If you have not looked closely at a tire before, the variety of markings on it can be a bit intimidating. For help in deciphering the writing on the tire, read “Sidewall Markings” in our Tech Center.
