Alex@tirerack.com: Tire testing makes for great tire recomendation!

Tire testing: The best part of my job.

I relocated in 2001 to South Bend Indiana to work for the Tire Rack.
Years of autoX with Windy City BMW club, in my 1976 BMW 2002.

I knew about the Rack, but I had no idea how much fun I'd have.

Lets take the company's sedans and SUVs out on the test track both in wet and dry conditions, and test many of the tires we offer - take them to the limits, and bring them back. Things you'd never do on the road, unless you were avoiding an accident.
Check out the track testing video!

We also use a road evaluation loop where ride quality and real world road noise can be percieved. Check out the road testing video!

This makes my recomendations first-hand examples.
If you help me understand what you'd like or need from your tires
- I'll help you find the right ones!

Hi Alex,
Thanks for your quick reply concerning winter tires for my friends Buick Enclave here in Sweden. I have a question about delivery, approx how long would it take between order and actually recieving the tires?
Thanks in advance

Hi Alex. I received your phone message this afternoon but it was after your office closed by the time I could return your call. I believe you were calling to confirm my order of the Michelin snow tires, which is great. If there is anything else you needed confirmation on, please feel free to call again. Thank you.

Hi Tom, My concern was just to warn you that your TPMS sensors do need to be activated by your Toyota Dealership. I will give you a call.

I'm contemplating dropping the front end of my 1995 Chevy S10 Ext Cab truck two (2) inches. I just installed a body kit and would like to drop the front suspension 2".

I'm looking to install wider tires so I'd like to know what the impact of the turn radius if purchasing 235/75R15 or 235/75R16 tires?

Would lowering the front end drastically impact the current turn radius of the truck??

Also, if I can purchase a wheel/tire package, I'm not sure if I have to consider the offset of the wheels....can you advise??

Hi Alex, I am trying to decide between the Continental Vanco and the Hankook for my Toyota RV which needs D rated 8 ply 185R14. Which would you recommend? If I order from you can you guarantee the tires I get (which have to be shipped to Gainesville, FL) will have recent dates (within the last 3 months at least)? Thanks, Chris
